First, if I could get a refund I would. However, I have read most of the post and that doesn't seem likely. I know the response will be there was a trail, but the trail doesn't allow you to try any of the key features such as exporting or saving the template. I found this software to be useless so far. Also, i have spent more time trying to get to work then using it. Multiple reinstall and searching this form to find answers.
- Documentation is very poor. You should have a complete end to end walk through of creating a template wiht positions and using content in Joomla.
- You can't create template params
- Clients cannot edit any content and I cant even copy the deign elements into articles because its encoded too.
4, This includes the HTML5 version too, no one wants to hand this over to a client or edit basic stuff in a clunky editor.
They only thing i can see benefit in is a quick prototype and the image library, but from a template perspective this is painful. I could have built static pages that can be edited in pasted them into articles myself.
I have spent several days trying to figure out a good workflow. If there is anyone or any documentation that helps this I wold love to see it, but I just don't think its feasible. I would rather create the content in a much more powerful editor and manual edit the index.php file and templatedetails.xml, which by the way I have to do if I want to provide dynamic options.
At this point I would never renew this unless someone is able to show a workflow that works and allows creating dynamic templates with parma and content that can either be copied into articles that is straightforward html so clients can edit it.
On another note I have looked at the other new product Upage, don't wast your time. There are may really good tools out there that do this and some are very reasonable price. I have several, one I would still use of this if it created template. You had an edge on the template market....
