As of late the update server is extremely slow. On all my site's across various hosting platforms or my desktop version the program locks up while waiting for some response from Themler's server.

I suppose this will be ignored but I had to ask.

Hello,

Could you please specify what exactly operations are the slowest? Is it slow with the hosted website or also in Themler desktop? You use Joomla, right?

Sincerely,
Nettie

Hello, could of been network related. I never had this issue before. I would make a change and it would just freeze and I could not make any other changes or save, etc. Then after some time, 10,15, 25 seconds it would allow me to do things again.

Both desktop, online server using Joomla. Not just one server either. Server in Chicago and East Coast USA.

Since the program relies on communication with your server I assume it's a issue on your update server. Perhaps it's better now.

Hello,

We will specially test the new version in this respect, however just theoretically - can it be the same theme that grew large and is used both in desktop and on server or the work became slower with some other themes as well?

Sincerely,
Nettie

That's not the scenario here. It was across a few sites that were unrelated and none were very large.

Let me see if it happens again on a future date and report back. Theoretically it is probably a server load issue.

It was happening yesterday again. I added a Joomla module to the footer and it took 30 seconds or more to add it while everything was frozen. I also did an update which took 3-5 minutes instead of 1 minute.

Something is awry.

Hi.

I have same problen as DaveOzric describe.
Some time ago when I save theme or save&publish - browser just freeze with loading circle near the cursor.
When I export theme - need to wait a huge of time.

I'm not using Desktop software, I have own local server.
This delays was starts some time ago, but never before.

Maybe this related to new version of Chrome (ver 69.0 x64)?
Seems that this begins in same time... but maybe this is just coincidence.

But realy looks like waiting for response from Themler servers.

I do not think it's browser related. I use both Chrome and Firefox.

I agree with Dave. I'm working "locally" and keep blaming it on the network. But after reading this thread it would seem there is a problem with Themler.
I'm using a version downloaded the 10th of this month (don't know the version because as soon as I attempt to "edit" the template, Themler launches the update and, as of right now it's been at least 15 minutes). So whatever version was available from Themler at that time is the version I have.

I've set Joomla to 25 minute cache time in hopes that would allow enough time for the update. I opened a second window to keep admin active. Nothing seems to work to get Themler updated. So I'm stopped from developing.

I can verify it's with all browsers and desktop version. I can only assume it is the update server not responding. In the time I have worked with this over the last couple years I have never seen this issue. Often a save or publish takes different times but never changing a style without saving.

Also since it has persisted for the last week or so it's not a anomaly but likely a external issue with Themler or the server.

It's really bad today. Not so much each element changes but saving takes 5 minutes.

Same issue here. Both desktop and web versions, with WordPress and Joomla. Sometimes it just hangs for several minutes simply changing a background color, or font size change.

A couple of days ago, clicking “Update” took over 15 minutes to complete on a live WordPress site. Then again on a Joomla site. Both small sites. Today, it hung for 2 minutes changing a border color. Definitely looks like a server issue.

Any reply from support? Can you optimize servers and reduce ping?
