Like a main Item like Politics which will reveal a drop down of submenus in one single row.

Hello, I will be very grateful to know how to create the Menu type on the BBC news website. My website has only two level menus. ie. A main menu item and several submenus. But They appear in vertical drop-downs instead. What I want to achieve is the BBC type. Like a main Item like Politics which will reveal a drop down of submenus in one single row. Hello Francis,

Generally there is no such option in Themler. But there may be some someworkarounds depending on the template type. What template type do you create (Joomla, WP)?

One way I could think of is to create separate menus for every parent menu item. When you hover over the main menu item on BBC news, there i sno dropdown menu, you can see the subitems only after parent item is clicked. Thus, you can achieve same effect if you add two separate menus - one as the leading menu and the other for subitems. After the template is installed to Joomla, you can create several more menus for subitems and set each menu to be displayed on particular page(s). Based on BBC example, you create secondary menu with country names and set this menu to appear only on World page and its subpages, so that when WORLD in main menu is clicked, secondary menu line appears on that page and its subpages.
In themler you just need to add two horizontal menus (with different style if needed), the rest is to be done in Joomla admin panel:
- create secondary menus
- assign appropriate style to each
