Background slider - how do I add slides?

Hi there,

I'm using an Artisteer exported template in Wordpress.
I'm trying to add a background slider to my website. I have my slider settings as given here:

However, when I add slides they can't be seen because the slideshow stays tiny. (See screenshot. Slider is in upper righthand part of page). Only if I add a background image does it show up (and then it's a full background image for the website, which is what I want, but as a slideshow. But there is no way I can find to add more than one background image.

If I increase the z-index so I can access the slider, and then try to expand the slideshow out, I can't get it to extend to full size. The 2nd screenshot shows it as wide as it will get.

Any ideas for how to solve?
