How to export file for launch of website

Hello Marianne,
You need to open Themler for Wordpress (desktop version) or Themler via wp-admin -> go to Home - Export (include content if needed). The zip file you get after the export is completed should be uploaded via wp-admin -> Appearance -> Themes.

Thanks but I already did this. What I can't figure out is how to export a file from Wordpress for upload to my host master. Put in another way, how do I publish my site? All pages are set to publish in Wordpress.

Sorry, I am a bit confused.
You can see your theme correctly applied to Wordpress site, right?

Do you mean that your Wp site is not live yet and you want to make it live?
Is it located already on your hosting provider server or localy?

The theme is active in Wordpress and I can preview it.

Yes, what I need to do is to make the WP site go live. I have received a guide from my host master which says that I need to download a zip file from WP and upload it to Filezilla.

What I can't figure out is how to download the right zip-file. If I export via Tools/Export in Wordpress, I get an XML file, not a zip-file. And if I upload the file downloaded from Themler to Filezilla, my host master says that needed files are missing.

You can upload the file exported from Themler (zip file) to "templates" folder of Wordpress via Filezilla and then unzip it there. That file is enough and the fact that it is working on your site right now proves it.
As I understand you can first make the site live with any theme, even default and then upload Themler theme same way you did before via wp-admin.

Hi Gina,

I still haven't managed to launch the website. I face challenges when zoom is used on my pages (I can see this in preview) and also face challenges with responsive views (other entities than screen) but would like to launch my website to see how bad it is.

What am I doing wrong when trying to publish the site? Everything works well with my host master and I can easily upload my old page which was set up in Artisteer.

What I am doing is to:

1. Export the theme from Themler.
2. Upload the theme it to Filezilla (unzipped).

All I get when opening my site is a blank page. My thought is that it needs to somehow be connected to WP but I am not an expert out in this.

You do have Wordpress installation on your new server, right?
And you do see "templates" folder inside of Wordpress installation there and it is where you put your new theme via Filezilla, correct?

Though it is still not clear why you can't use WP Upload option via wp-admin on your new host here.

Hi Gina,

Many thanks for your reply. I managed to figure things out now but will have to use another web builder than Themler. The reason being that I have not received feedback on an old case (more than 2 weeks) with zoom and layout challenges. I really need to launch my website and I cannot do that with the challenges that I face. It is too frustrating not being able to find documentation and solutions to solve problems. But many thanks for the support that you have been able to provide ;-)
