Hello there!

I'm working in Joomla and I'd like to have some different/custom sliders on each page of my site. Is that possible having in mind that the page template is single?

Hello Iva,
Where is your slider located? Could you please provide screenshot with the Outline panel on the left?

This is why Themler needs to add a module builder! It would serve so many purposes.

It's on top, below the header.

If you were using Wordpress, for example, it would be possible to assign different templates (I mean page templates within same theme) to each page. But in Joomla it is possible only to assign different theme to a page (menu item). In your case you would need to add that slider to the content area.

I'm not sure if this would help with Joomla, haven't worked with it for quite some time. But for WordPress, I would have created a Widget area, where your Slideshow would go, on the Page template. Then use a Slideshow plugin that allows you to create multiple slideshows and insert them into the widget area.

This depends on if you are assigning these pages as menu items. If so just create a module position on the page template and use a slider module of some type and put them on the pages by assigning them to the menu items.

If you are not using menu items for the pages, which you probably are if it's not a post/article from a blog, you could configure a custom field for the article and add it that way using some shortcode.

Let me know if you need any help.

I came across this thread while researching custom sliders for Joomla, and found the community feedback quite valuable. It’s clear that giving each page its own slider involves creating either a unique module position linked to menu items or embedding sliders via custom fields and shortcodes. I’d just add that documenting each step—like how to define the module position, assign it to specific menu items, then configure your slider module—can make the process smoother for others. Nice job, everyone! If anyone’s struggling with integration or needs a bit of programming assignment help to streamline the setup, I’d be happy to assist.
