Edit CSS in Joomla

Hallo,

why cant i edit or add css code in Joomla thats realy annoying to edit other extensions and modules.
(Joomla/Extensions/Templates/ Templates/"MyTemplate"/CSS/Template.css)

The only way i can add code right now is by putting it via Themler and export it with the Template but after that i cant edit that code again. And to always Export-> Install to change code is annoying tbh.

Is there a way that changes in Template.css really affect the template (in Joomla)?
Do i miss something?

Hello Nico,
There is no restriction from Themler side to edit template.css directly in Joomla admin panel.
Check if your user has enough permissions, or the folder with templates allows editing.

Hello Gina,
if i change template.css (with permission - super user or via ftp) nothing changes. Which file should I change? Even if I delete everything nothing changes.

Try template.min.css

But the best way is to add custom css at Themler backend, then Save&Publish it.

If the changes are still in template.css after you save the file, but they are not reflected on the site, it may be due to cache. Sometimes that site gets heavily cached by the browser you use or Joomla in general (clear cache in admin panel).
