Is it the end of Themler?

I have the impression that Themler is going to bankruptcy. It looks like developers are absent from the forum. We wait for the response from the support for months, as if Themler dismissed the people responsible for the support. Once, after asking a question, I had a response within 1-2 days, now it happens that there is no answer at all. I asked a question in private topic 3 months ago and no one has answered to this day.

I pay for the most expensive version and feel a bit cheated due to ignoring my support questions. Because, as I understand it, support also comes with the subscription price

I'm starting to seriously wonder if I should not resign from Themler before it goes bankrupt and do not turn to, for example, [...].

P.S.
I found something. It looks like Themler is no longer being developed and is being replaced by Nicepage. It promises to be interesting but why, since I paid for Themler in March, should I now buy a new product? And it will be difficult for me to trust a company that deals with its clients. In my opinion, if Themler finishes software development, it should be visible on the site. And I think that since Themler is no longer being developed, customers who have active licenses for Themler should get free Nicepage licenses valid until the end of Themler subscription. But it's still a bit cheat if I knew that Themler would not be further developed - I would not prolong the license.

Just got a answer that Themler will stay on Bootstrap 3... so here is a answer for topic title.

But I want to say thank you to Themler team (developers and support) for amazing experience at the product start. First few years with Themler was awesome.

Definitely WordPress have advantages. For me the number one advantage of WP is popularity that give to this CMS huge community, developers and plugins.

But what I miss in Wordpress is Modules like in Joomla (widgets not so flexible) and native Multilanguage support from the box.

Good news that in Long term roadmap of WordPress there is "Multi-lingual — Core implementation for Multi-lingual sites" plan.

As for Joomla 4... yes, something strange happens here... long development time and no revolutionary features added. If J!4 will have native editor like Gutenberg - this can be awesome. But yes, we only have old-school TinyMCE / JCE. Fortunatly we have page builders like [] to create content.

Thank you for feedback joshpell . I saw this [...], looks really good. Maybe it's time to try WordPress :)

I guess it is, after a quick peek to joomla 4, it looks just like joomla 3 in the interface of wordpress. I guess I had too high expectations from Joomla 4 after all these years of development and in my eyes I am afraid Wordpress beats it hard altough I always hated it as it's interface is such a mess. But while joomla has no added core features in 4, creating content in wordpress is such an amazing experience! It is so simple to add blocks, collumns, responsive images, galleries, videos, audios, and content linked from vimeo, youtube, spotify, issuu and other social media... works like a charm in no time. That is what I would expect from a drag'n'drop wysiwyg editor, and it is the very basic editor in wordpress, no "plugins" needed. On the other hand we have this joomla core editor which is pretty much the same from the times of Joomla 1.0 if not from Mambo... I hate it but it really seems to be time to leave both, joomla and themler :-/

I am not sure who is still holding on to any hope? In 5 years nicepage will probably be obsolete and crazypage will be the new tool. The last time I tried nicepage it was a dumpster fire at best. I can't even imagine it now? The single most confusing thing I've tried working with. The developer has gone down the rabbit hole. Bye bye now, take care.

No its not [...], it is only a wordpress tool, you can try [...]directly from their site (the name of the tool will probably get removed), the admin team has time to ensure that no other tools get discussed but no time to keep themler relevant. It does allow you to build the full theme, its a bit more clunky than themler in how it operates but does appear to do the job well enough, you can also add custom classes which makes styling easier. [...] builder can also be a page builder if that what you want......best thing is its a one off lifetime license.

As I have said the damage is done, I paid (and have continued to pay) for the top tier subscription in hope of themler development, but I do feel jaded, now having to continue to pay for the minuscule compatibility updates, to me it appears with the themler model you get roped in and when they have enough stuck in the subscription model its a passive income and they know they have a few years before these sites get redone or closed.

I know that this will probably be removed by the admin team.

I too had been using themler for all my projects, have about 12 sites currently running on themler. The tool was absolutely the best for building themes, few tweaks needed here and there to get the page speed rating up but overall short of building a theme by hand from scratch there was nothing that really compared. I also loved that the platform was online, that meant that no matter where I was all I needed was a computer and an internet connection and I could get into anyone of the sites I manage and make changes, made life so easy. I to am very sad to see it just fall on the wayside to a tool like Nicepage.

I have for a while now debated to continue to use it, however given where it is at I now have no hope on it ever being continued beyond basic out of necessity compatibility updates. So yes it is with a lot of sadness I am abandoning themler for a new tool called [...], its not a nice as themler's interface but does allow the customisation in a similar way to themler, with that online component so changes can be made from any computer with an internet connection.

RIP Themler

I got sucked into Nicepage too but it just appears to create a newer style of onepage website. Good if you are an architect or want something to look VERY cutting edge but useless to us. Developers please please keep with Themler. It is great software, it just needs to be made to keep working with newest PHP, https etc. It hardly needs any new features. I would renew themler but nicepage is totally different and incompatible. I was a sucker who had artisteer too :-(. Maybe you should sell Themler to a new company to keep it working. Please?

Let's hope.

If they are developing NicePage with a proprietary format it will fall fate to the same thing that happened to Artisteer. Do you know what they are using?

I hope that they read this topic.
They still working on Nicepage so can't promise something right now.
But when Nicepage will be done or maybe it fall... then they will know that here is a lot of developers who waiting for Themler team here.

Awesome experience with Themler 1.0 and Nicepage can give brand new powerful, fast and easy to use software.

Web design language that is used in Nicepage is just a one year trend... so there is a big chance that they will return to Themler. As Themler is universal tool.

Nicepage have:

  • Advertising (banners in Google Ads network)
  • Documentation and Video tutorials
  • Getting Started Interactive Tutorial
  • Tips and tricks about Best Practices
  • Easy to use UI with help tips
  • Priority support

Themler don't have such list of user friendly steps.
So it's not so easy for some people to start with Themler.
Many of users don't know about Themler as here no advertising.

But all of this can be implemented in new Themler 2.0.
I believe that Themler can be powerful and easy to use.

Themler need new users, good documentation and support.

Idea for Themler 2.0: make one option in Themler with Easy mode / Expert switcher.

Here is example: http://smartslider3.helpscoutdocs.com/article/406-secondary-navigation-bar

So Themler 2.0 with Simple / Expert mode switcher will be very good idea and product.
Just look how great it can be: https://youtu.be/orld-gwFG5A?t=10s

And this will be universal product for all, who want simple generator as Nicepage (Easy mode) and powerful tool like Themler (Expert mode).

This is exactly what I am talking about. They cannot even update the update page with the version that is out.

They claim they will continue, but is it a lie?

I need to find something else if it's true. Not sure what that will be. Likely Helix or something I am not aware of.

Themler, sell the product to a reputable company and move on. You will have a huge issue if you stick it to us again. This is not a threat but the stark reality of conducting business like this in this day and age. People are using this product to run their businesses and make a living. Playing games with us is not going to fly this time. Artisteer was understandable. You went with the wrong framework. I got it and switched to Themler, which I love for the most part. Nicepage is no good, don't want it and will not switch.

I don't know what to think about this.
since they launched "nicepage", which I thought was from developpers of artisteer, everything is going slow here.
I had some topics, on which I gave up after waiting several months for any respons.

Like the news/update page, nothing is up-to-date, and they don't seem to even care about it

Like you said, what if they fail?
I have a dozen websites, all with themler-templates.
What software to use, and what about the lost hours to re-do al the work?

I do not agree they are only looking for money. Themler is an amazing product. The developer is likely not stable and possibly very eccentric or savantish?

They need to pony up and follow the promises made or deal with the fallout. Their products will fail if they abandon us and leave us with no usable product. I for one will start a website, optimize it to be number one on Google and just have testimonials and reviews on this company if I get screwed again. I will loose so much money not having a working template for my clients and will have to spend another 12 months redoing all these sites. No way will this go unchecked. Not a chance.

If they don't want to help us, they should find a real company and developer who can continue this and sell it to them.

I too will not switch to another product of theirs if they abandon this. I do not want another system to deal with and don't want to deal with any more bait and switch.

Themler was promised to Artisteer users and the end game for us. Not the end of the game.

Themler we need more support and updates or no one will trust you. Your new project will have a black cloud over it. Marketing attempts will be met with bad reviews and warnings.

Don't make this mistake.
