Hi,

I have a problem with the sidebar on Joomla - it will only display on one page and not all pages. Modules on the sidebar are set to be displayed on all pages in the module configuration. This appears to be a bug??

Hello

Theme consists of a number of template (Home, Page, Post, etc.):
http://answers.themler.com/categories/4080/templates-1

Different pages use different templates:
Home - Default home page
Page - Single Article Layout with disabled metadata (date created, author, etc).
Post - Single Article Layout with metadata enabled
Blog - Category Blog Layout
etc.

All templates are independent. If you added control to one template it will not appear on another template.
There are a few ways to share controls between templates:

  1. Copy & Paste.
  2. Copy & Paste and Share. The difference between Paste and Paste&Share is that in the second case all changed made to the control on one template will be applied to the shared control on another template.
  3. add control into one of the shared areas: Header, Footer, Sidebars (all with orange borders).

Please let us know if you have any other questions.

Thank you,
Olivia

I generally assumed that because it's a joomla template that the same layout would apply to all pages regardless.

Hi,

You need to right click on the element you want to share, choose Copy, then navigate to the template where you want the control to appear, use the Past and Share option. If that is not active, let me know if it happens with any control or with a specific one. Can you reproduce the issue in the default theme?

Sincerely,
Hella
