Hello.

Why you don't update Bootstrap 3 to Bootstrap 4 in Themler?
Most extensions for CMS already uses Bootstrap 4, but Themler uses Bootstrap 3... in this case both versions need to load.

Please pay attention to outdated things.. don't put Themler on one shelf with Artisteer. Slow down with Nicepage. Give some dev time to Themler. Improve most needed things.

Bootstrap 3 was released in 2013, Themler in 2014.
Maybe it's time for big upgrade?

When Bootstrap 7 is released… Themler might update to Bootstrap 4 :) :) :)

Will the developers come back to Themler for major update (Bootstrap 4 / CSS Grid, New features from wishlists, code optimization for new rules to load pages faster and be more SEO friendly) in this year or only minor fixes will be (new CMS / PHP version support and small bug fixes)?

Well... I just get a news that Themler will have only fixes, so no major update like Bootstrap 4 or CSS Grid, as for this big update need to rewrite half of Themler.

Most CMS extensions already use Bootstrap 4.
But modern way is to use CSS Grid (seems that Nicepage actually use it).
Joomla 4 will be on CSS Grid too.

So the open question: is there any reason to start new projects with current state of Themler with outdated technologies.

Good news that Themler will be supported for old projects. And probably will work with new CMS versions.

They promised Themler would be viable for the future of Joomla and that's why they stopped Artisteer.

If the template can use BS3 with Joomla 4 that's OK I guess. I am unsure of this and hope to find out.

Since Themler will not receive major updates like Bootstrap 4, CSS Grid, new features, new UI etc., then maybe it will be honest to reduce main price for all plans to get advanced discount for renew?

Or give Nicepage for free when you buy Themler. As when you buy Artisteer you get Themler for free. As future of Themler is near to Artisteer and currently Themler license needed just to update old websites, not to create new ones.

Sorry Themler. I have to agree with all the comments given above. I understand that the Themler team also works on other projects, but we are paying customers. NicePage is not made for the same purpose, and i paid for themler.

I hope the team will spend enough time to keep the Themler project up to date and that a newer version of Bootstrap will be implemented on a short period.

Same here.. We're not renewing our license until bootstrap is updated. It was a great tool, but I think we'll move on to another product that have actively development with new technologies.

You're absolutely right — most modern CMS extensions have already moved to Bootstrap 4 (or even 5), and it's becoming a challenge to maintain compatibility when Themler still uses Bootstrap 3. This often leads to unnecessary bloat by having to load both versions, which isn't ideal for performance or development workflow.

As someone working on a gaming-related site, I’ve experienced similar issues when customizing layouts. For example, on my site https://gtasandreasapk.com, I had to manually handle conflicts between Bootstrap versions just to keep the design clean and functional. It would be great to see Themler catch up to modern standards to make things smoother for developers and content creators alike.

Thanks for the helpful insights on Themler customization this community really helps clarify theme development challenges. While working on design tweaks, I also manage a tech-focused blog, especially around Android mods and game optimization. Recently, I shared a detailed guide on GTA mods at GTA APK SAN, which some tech-savvy users might find useful. Appreciate all the value shared here!

That’s actually a good point. Bootstrap 4 is much lighter and compatible with most modern CMS extensions compared to Bootstrap 3. Loading both versions together really affects performance and speed, especially for content-heavy sites. For example, on my own project https://gtasanandreasapks.com/ site speed and smooth user experience are very important because users download files and read guides regularly. An outdated framework can slow things down and even hurt SEO.

Good point—just like how https://gtaandreas.com/ gets upgraded with new features for a better experience, Themler should also move from Bootstrap 3 to Bootstrap 4. It keeps things modern, smooth, and avoids the hassle of running outdated versions side by side.

You’re right—upgrading to Bootstrap 4 would definitely align Themler with modern CMS extensions and avoid loading two versions unnecessarily. It’s just like Snaptroid https://snaptroiddl.com/ enhancing Snapchat by adding missing features; both updates make the platform smoother, more efficient, and user-friendly.

That’s a valid point — sticking with Bootstrap 3 while most platforms have already moved to Bootstrap 4 feels outdated and creates unnecessary load. It’s similar to using old methods in Roblox Blox Fruits without scripts https://bloxfruitscript.org/ — you can still play, but scripts help optimize and speed up progress, just like an update to Bootstrap 4 would improve efficiency.

This discussion about Bootstrap 4 is super helpful, especially the way you explained how container-fluid and row classes work to fix layout issues. It makes things much clearer for developers who are struggling with responsive designs. I often look for practical solutions like this while working on projects, and resources like these save a lot of time. Also, when I take a break from coding, I enjoy playing GTA SA, https://thegtasanandreasapk.com/ which is still one of the best open-world games ever made.
