Themler blinking by save importet Wordpress theme - not save possible

Windows 10 - 1903; Google Chrome Version 80.0.3987.149 ; Themler V.178

I have a problem with saving, updateing or renaming a new theme. After clicking the save icon the logon popup will apear in the center of the screen with not text shown and disapear in the same moment. Just like blinking.

To stop this blinking loop, I just can click on the "X" and the window will disapear but then theme is not saved.

I tried it on an other PC with a blank installation of themler but i got the same behavior.

So I cannot work with this software.

Hello,

If you are using Google Chrome, try this:
1) navigate to:
chrome://appcache-internals
find your website and click on 'Remove Item'
2) navigate to:
chrome://settings/clearBrowserData
select 'Cached images and files ' and click on 'Clear Data' (please don't check other check-boxes).

If you are using the Desktop version, then:
1) close Themler
2) open Windows Explorer and type %LocalAppData% in the address bar
3) find & rename Themler directory
4) start Themler again

But your instruction didn't solve my problem.

Fresh install of Themler on a fresh installed Windows 10 PC. I do the following steps:
- Start Themler
- Open "file" and "import from billion themes"
- Choose theme and import theme
- theme is imported and shown in Themler
- Open "file" and "rename"
- Typ in a new theme name and press OK

Now the error starts. The logon screen will open shortly and immediately disapear and open shortly und immediately disapear and so on.

When I start Chromes devtools by pressing F12 in themler I can record the network traffic (see attached Image an har-File.

I also attached the ThemlerDiagnostics.txt.

Is there any way to solve this issue?

Hello,

Does it allow you to update the theme to the latest version?

Do you use Wordpress, Joomla, or else?

Usually the steps Nettie provided for desktop version help.
If you test this in Chrome for your live site, check if you enter your site with https (not http), this can make a difference for Themler.

Windows 10 clean install
- Install Chrome
- Install Themler
- Start Themler
- Choose Joomla CMS
- Themler starts without an Error
- Default theme is loaded
- Press "Updates"
- Popup "Please Sign In"
- Input my Username (tobias@toennissen.com) and password
- Popup "Upgrade des aktuellen Theme auf neustes Themler?"
- Press "Backup und Upgrade"
- Popup "Bitte warten... Das Theme wird auf die neue Version aktualisiert"
- Popup "Theme aktualisiert Das Theme wurde auf die neue Version aktualisiert"
- Menu "File" -> "rename"
- Popup for input the new theme name
- Theme renamed successfully
- Menu "File" -> "import from billion themes"
- Popup appear: click on "isystems Company"
- Popup for iSystems Company - Joomla Template
- Click on "Import Theme"
- Blank Window with "THEMLER loading ..." + Popup "Auf 127.0.0.1:12080 wird Folgendes angezeigt: Retry?" + "OK" and "Abbrechen"-Buttons
- Click "OK", the popup comes up again
- Click "Abbrechen", a popup with "Auf 127.0.0.1:12080 wird Folgendes angezeigt: Sorry, error accurred. Yout project will be restored." + "OK"-Button

We have updated our server yesterday to fix this issue happening with older themes. could you please try to clear the cache as suggested above once again to get the fix?

Start Themler
Choose Joomla
untitled theme is loaded
Login in (Remember me checked)
Update and Upgrade Theme
untitled default theme successfully updated
File -> Import theme -> chose "iSystems Company - Joomla!™ Template"
importing theme starts

Update failed ("Server Error: Server is unavaiable + Retry and Cancel")
Pressing "Retry" will go to a loop of this error message
Pressing "Cancel" will close the error message but the theam isn't updated
Pressing "Save Theme" in this state will failed by flashing the login window
this behavior can only stopped by exit Themler with the X on the right top of the window

when I try to start themler after this behavior again with a new theme, themler won't start but brings an error in a popup. Themler will not start, only a uninstall and new install of themler will bring back themler to work.

Starting with a blank/default theme will work. Importing a theme for Billing themes will crash the program.

Had same problem, blinking login on chrome, update not working...and no solution that really worked. Themler desktop has problem only in chrome because of security changes. Firefox is working. Themler desktop uses browser that is OS default. So one of the solutions was for me to install firefox and create shortcut for http://127.0.0.1:12080/themler_386336952/startup/, not using the installed app shortcut.
Second solution is to install theme and plugins (blank theme) on your CMS on the live site. Then you can simply edit the theme online. This solution was the best for me on joomla CMS.

Starting with the default theme and then editing it online is definitely a viable way for me.

But as soon as I import one of the "Billion Themes", Themler is no longer usable and no matter what I do, I have to install Themler completely new to work with it again.

Then it has to work completely without these templates. These don't seem to be developed any further, if you look at the creation data.

I apologize for the delay on this.

All themes from BillionThemes were created with relatively old Themler version. To use those themes, you would need to open them with Themler Desktop first and update to v502.

Blinking login window issue was fixed, cache purge is required.
