Problems to edit a template from joomla 3.9.21 when it is made with desktop. Error 500 and problem edit with php 7.2.

Hello good day.

My joomla installation is 3.9.21. and PHP 7.3

If I download themler and install it on my joomla everything works fine. I update the plugins and can edit the template without problems. Everything works perfectly with PHP 7.3 and Joomla 3.9.21.

When I install in my joomla the template made with my desktop themler (I work with MAC), I cannot edit the theme from my Joomla. I have two problems.

1- I have a 500 error when I try to install the plugins. This error occurs with PHP 5.3 and PHP 7.3.
2- The theme editor does not work with PHP 7.3. I have tried PHP 5.3 and the editor works fine.

Can you give me a solution?

Hello,

Is your theme exported from dekstop version made with version 511? It is the latest Themler version and should work with PHP 7.3.

The theme itself can be updated to the latest Themler version by clicking on Updates on the top. The version can be checked via ? >> About.

On my desktop software,? >> About, only two options appear. The current version (Not link) and View Update Log. I don't have option to update the software.

We work with mac.

This is the way to check your current version. To update the theme, please refer to Updates (1) on the top. You may need to enable Beta update notifications in your profile to see it.

Hello,

This theme is too old, most probably it is not possible to update it. However, you may try to manually apply these fixes:
https://answers.themler.io/articles/173620/how-to-fix-the-error-after-updating-to-joomla-3-9

Also please try the following - in some cases this way helps:

  1. Open Themler Desktop
  2. Open your theme
  3. Make its copy under different (slightly) name via File -> Make a copy as
  4. Close Themler Desktop
  5. Open Themler desktop
  6. Select your CMS (Joomla in this case)
  7. Fine the copy of the theme in the list of themes there you have
  8. Open it and it should start updating, or at least should be opened with the red Update button on top available
