As soon as I create multiple extra page-templates within Themler, they all become the same, as soon as you change one of them. (under the menu top button "home" where you add templates)

So it is not possible to create more than one extra page templates, in addition to the standard template.

I want to create multiple templates which I can appoint from the CMS Wordpress Editor

Hope you can help us

Greetings from The Netherlands

John

Hmm, I don't see any issue with adding several templates for Wordpress.
What I did:
1. Add few Home and Page Templates in Themler:

2. Press Save in Themler
3. Open page content editor for a page and assign specific template to the page from the list below:

So I don't see any problem with using Templates option.

Eugene.

Hi,

I am struggeling to setup multiple tempates with different designs as well. I am working with the most recent verion of Themler that was released just today.

1.) if I just copy one of the existing templates the issue is that a modification made on one page template is equally applied to all other pages as well (i.e. each "page" template just inherits each modification applied to any "page" template, hence no individual design can be applied). However, at least the page template apprears in the WP backend and can be selected from the page attribute drop down

2.) if I setup a "customized" template I can apply modifications that aren't inherited by the existing "page" templates, however each other "customer" template will inherit any change made to any of the "custom" templates. On top the proplem is that the "customized" templates aren't display in the WP backend. Will send a bug report in parallel.

3.) Any short cuts as code in the WP backend CMS content section are just displayed in the respective website, so seems the issue is somehow related to Themler

Hope you can help

There are "shared" sections in Themler like Header or Footer marked with "orange" color. They are the same through all templates. Any change inside such "orange" section will be seen in all templates.
The key for having different Header and Footer in some template is turn it off or delete.

Such "orange" sections can be also found inside Sidebars control:

And the next level are Posts, Products, Product Details controls.
Here are management buttons to make such controls different or same as default including design, layout of the control and all sub controls.

RE: #3
Can you please attach some screenshorts for demonstrating the issue.

Hi,

many thanks for your reply. I understood that post are by default part of the sidebars only. Is there any way to move it to a box absolute or a layout container as well ?

Regards,
Andreas

We can't move Posts or Content controls outside Sidebars control.
But we can move Sidebars control almost as we wish.

We can move Sidebars control to Layout Container or to Column without problems.
We can't move it to Box control where children have absolute coordinates.

But there is a way how to make Sidebars absolute:
1. Select Sidebars control and click here:

2. Select position: absolute and move it in preview with drag'n'drop or set coordinates below the position property.

Make sure, the container for Sidebars control has position property as relative (body always has it). Also container should have width and height, or others non-absolute controls inside which are resize it.

I can add all the templates I want just like you show. Then I go to Word Press, change the template like you show, come back into Themler to edit and it simply reverts back to the original template for every page. which in this case is Home.

scott53,

Could you please create a New Private topic and describe the issue with templates in more details? Also please provide the access to the WP admin panel so we can check the theme.

Thank you,
Olivia

Hi,

Sorry, the question is not clear. The URL is created inside your CMS and not by Themler. To assign the specific template to it, please let us know what CMS you are using so we could provide the appropriate article.

Sincerely,
Hella
