Setting file/folder permissions

I'm trying to get Themler to run on a Drupal 8 site by running the downloadable Themler themes and module within drupal.
I've installed and enabled the themler-8.x module and installed the untitled_preview-8.x and untitled-8.x themes.

Within my cPanel file manager I've set the permissions to the folders sites/default/files/, /modules/ & /themes/ as user and group: read, write & execute. I have also done that to all the files and folders within /modules/themler and /themes/ (as far as I can tell).

The theme displays as it should but when I go into the settings for the theme and click Edit theme button I get the following error message.

The website encountered an unexpected error. Please try again later.

Am I setting the permissions correctly or what else do I need to do to get this to work?

Hello,

Drupal 8 support us still in Beta so some issues may happen. Still first I would recommend to make sure all the steps from this article are performed:
https://answers.themler.io/articles/105138/drupal-8

Then, this way also may come in help:
https://answers.themler.io/articles/65525/themler-themes-issues-drupal

The information from browser Console may contain some additional information about the error, and may point us in the right direction - it can be seen via F12 >> Console.

Sincerely,
Nettie
