My dear Friends,
I am quite fed up of Themler!
It's NOT as before.....
There are a LOT of glitches and I don't know if they caused by the S/W or by the traffic jam or ...Gods knows! (I am in Eu).
The Support is of little help and the solutions are late to come or unsatisfactory.
I am forced to seek for an alternative Product.
But you might stop my farewell if some strong improvements are implemented.
Please let me know on your program.
Best Regards
Rick B.

Hello Rick,

The main point is in using Customize TEMPLATE style option on the ribbon in either template. Please follow this video from minute 14:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Q4ZZlILZJ_A&t=221s
Here is how to switch this option.

As for the sidebar - after the mentioned option is switched in either of the templates, it will be possible to edit them separately. The same goes for Right Sidebar that can be enabled/disabled for each template separately - you may also select the sidebar in either template and go to the Right Sidebar tab directly to switch it.

Sincerely,
Nettie

Please URGENT!!
Kindly correct the LEFT SIDEBAR FOR POST SWITCH that is anchored to the LEFT SIDEBAR FOR BLOG SWITCH.
Is there a way to make them independent as they were before?
Thank for you attention and action.
Sincerely,
Rick Balbusso

Hi Themler!
here more bugs:
In Content & Sidebars > Sidebars > Right Sidebars > IF SWITCH IS ON > Blog, Post and Default (all together) GO ON.
There is no way to switch them ONE-BY-ONE !!
Thanks for your help.
Rick

NOTES for Themler Support
1. In Post, In Insert, In Content & Sidebars, In Sidebars, In Right Sidebars:
----> the Blog and Post Switches are locked together but instead to be independent.
2. In Home Backend, by switching to Blog:
----> the Horizontal Menu does not show up; but it shows up in frontend and another module after that (GTranslate) does not show up too;
----> in Home Backend, by switching to Post template does not work and the selection goes always into the unwanted Page; it’s impossible to edit unless going forth and back into frontend, checking if editing succeeded and finally save the change; it’s a frustrating job!
3. ----> In CMS Contents in Page, editing Posts (and their Controls) in Desktops and/or Laptops/Tablets, they are affecting each other; they are supposed be independent.
4. ----> In Home, Editing Post (and its Control) in Desktop and/or Laptops/Tablets they are affecting each other; they should be supposed independent too.
5. ----> In the left side Control Panel ----> when CMS Content is selected (Blue Highlighted) the right Control Panel wrongly goes into Post or Joomla Position. The CMS Contente is never selected properly as wanted; there is no way to edit.
6. ----> In Home Backend, if I want to view the Blog Template, I have been told by Hella or Olga, to click CTRL+”Go to my BLOG” button; why is that? And the template shown is different from the template given by the normal clicking the “Go to my Blog” button.
Best Regards,
Rick

Hello Rick,

I apologize for the delay.

You can find Joomla related instructions here https://answers.themler.io/categories/3919/joomla-4
They are, of course, Themler oriented but you should be able to find a lot of explanations for Joomla in general on a user level. If there is any specific topic that you need to explore right now, let us know.

Hi Gina,
you are my Angel! Thanks for all.
I have to tell you: I am old guy (76) and had never gone to Websites Planning and Design courses. I am Telecom Eng. and all I know is self-learnt (perhaps wrongly), My desire is to find the correct Book (no code or other similar unless very simple ones); just to understand on how to deal with CMS's basics notions to design the website, but (this is important) the design of the templates with the generic settings, the Sections, the Blocks, Containers, Joomla positions, etc. etc. I have tried to study some Bootstrap, but they are too much LoL !
May be you have some titles in mind to suggest?
Thanks
Have a nice day!
Rick

Hello Rick,

I apologize for the delay.

Issue #1 is fixed, could you please test?
It should affect point 2 as well.

As for 3 and 4, it may depend on the internet connection, add-ons in the browser or plugins on the site. If there is any specific example on some page, could you please provide temporary access in a new private ticket?

1 To login I have to open a link which is indicated in a forum thread titled "I can't login"; go back to the editing page and wait for the login function to unlock ... Never before!
2 during the hours of user traffic on the server (s), it is very difficult from Europe to do editing work: the response after the refresh sometimes works, sometimes it doesn't.
3 Every now and then I notice a distortion of the graphics and all the changes are lost and everything has to be redone.
4 A change or addition in Home, for example, doesn't work and you wonder why; then redo the change that still does not appear; after a while the change goes to Blog; but you can find it in Home live.
Many modules and the Horizontal Menu can't get them to appear in Editing mode but they are published in the live template. And to make the desired changes you have to jump from live to editing back and forth! Crazy thing.
For now I think that's enough ...
Best regards
Rick

Could you please describe what issue is the most actual for you? We haven't changed anything in program stability or its essential features recently, so the issue looks to be caused by some specific reason.
