Joomla in Themler desktop gives "page not found"

Good morning

Every couple weeks, it's impossible to use Themler desktop.
I only use the Joomla section.

For every existing template in Themler Desktop, I get the standard error screen: "page not found".
If I import an existing template, I get the standard error screen: "page not found".
If I create a new template in Themler Desktop, I get the standard error screen: "page not found".

There seems no other possible solution to deinstall the full Themler Desktop, and reinstall everything again.
I don't know if the existing templates I made already will work in the new installation.

When will there be a descent solution for this matter?
After a couple years of using Themler, I start to get irritated with this kinds of troubles.

Hello,

Sorry for the inconvenience. Looks like for some reason there was no item selected as Front page in Joomla admin. I would recommend to check this and re-set the item, if necessary, if the issue appears once again.

Everytime I start Themler, select Joomla, and then want to "create new template" I have this.
Even when I start the "untitled", the default template, the same issue is there.
I guess I re-installed Themler for the 57861'd time... It will work again for a couple of weeks.

Only when I now create a default template, then upload it to the server, it continue working.
So I only need to do this once, meaning that the Themler Desktop is completly useless....

Hello,

Once more sorry about this. I assume you have already tried the way above with assigning the menu item, right? We can also recommend to install Joomla on some localhost and use Themler theme there. An additional bonus will be that you can use different CMS content for different websites, unlike it is in Themler desktop.

That's why I said, when I have a clean install of Themler desktop, I need to export the current template and use that on the servers.

So desktop-version becomes useless

If the issue happens again, try this:

1) close Themler
2) open Windows Explorer and type %LocalAppData% in the address bar
3) find & rename Themler directory
4) start Themler again
