We have a Themler Template that we can't open with the Joomla backend. So we tried Themler Desktop. Saw another post with this problem. I just downloaded the latest Themler; I can't figure out how to download the Joomla-Themler Template to the Desktop Themler in order to correct this. Or, what is the best solution?

Hello,

You are moving in the right direction.
Access you site via FTP, go to Joomla folder -> Templates folder and copy the folder with the current theme. Zip it and open with Themler desktop.

I get the following when I upload the newly saved local template and try to edit it online.

"Forbidden
You don't have permission to access this resource.

Additionally, a 403 Forbidden error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request."

The blog shows similar issues pertaining to permissions. But I don't see a permission that they say works. And which files would we need to try to change?

Hello,

Please make sure to have updated the theme to the latest Themler version before exporting it.
Also please make sure that the user and group running the web server are granted the appropriate read, write and execute (linux only) permissions on the following folders, as well as read and write permission on the files in these folders:

root/templates
root/plugins
root/tmp

You may nedd to contact your hosting provider to do this for you.

Also please try to temporary disable all third-party CMS plugins. Some of them can change block access to files.

Sincerely,
Nettie
