Assign custom template to one product category

Hi,
I need to use two different templates for the woocomerce product categories.
I have read the article https://answers.themler.io/articles/9466/how-to-create-and-use-custom-templates, to create custom templates, but I can't get it to work.
This would be the correct name for a custom template of woocomerce products "category-17.php"?
Do I also need to add any custom code to the template?

category-17.php is a correct name for a template.

Could you please provide temporary access to your site and describe what pages need to use what templates.
