Themler and Nicepage are different tools. Themler is more advanced, but Nicepage is easier to use, in some respect it is more like Artisteer.The best way to learn if Nicepage suits your purposes is possibly to evalute it for free at https://nicepage.com. Nicepage is actively developed and updates are issued often - from one to several times a month. New funcationality is added as well.

We are not going to abandon Themler. But it is already very advanced and thus new features or options are not often introduced. Themler updates include mostly support for coming CMS versions, Ecommerce plugins' or PHP versions, as well as issue fixes.
