Made Joomla 4 Readyness - who would pay for it?

Hi all
For a long time, Themler was "only entertained" and no longer expanded.
But Themler is still very popular with many users (including me). The online editing on the template is just very good.
Now Themler is getting on in years and Joomla has also taken a step with version 4.
At the moment Themler is only available in a buggy beta.
Attempts have also been made with advertising to bring Themler users to Nicepage.
From my point of view, Themler and Nicepage cannot be compared or respectively. pursue a different goal (Themler mostly for template creation and Nicepage for page creation).
There have already been a few posts where it was offered to pay something for the further development (I'm talking about J4 readiness and other updates such as Bootstrap etc.).
Who would be willing to "shell out" something here?

I collected few answers from Themler team. Here is summary:

  1. Themler will not have major updates - no new features
  2. Themler will not have framework update - no new Bootstrap 5
  3. Themler will not have themes update feature from Joomla 3 to Joomla 4
  4. Themler will not have Prestashop 1.7.8 update - no new CMS version support
  5. Themler will not have clear Roadmap - all bugs can exist many years

Currently Themler looks like no future. There is no way to start new projects with such old tech.

Nicepage is completely different software from one side, and it can be abandoned in same way as Themler from other side. All this words that "we don't plan to stop development, we have lot of plans" we heard about Themler...

I can understand that all CMS support can be quite difficult. But we need fresh framework, code and actual SEO practices to load websites fast.

So as compromise maybe Themler 2.0 can be with Bootstrap 5 and support only two CMS: Joomla 4 and WordPress 5. Without Page Building features (green areas), only Template building features. For page building it's possible to use Nicepage or other third party solutions.

Template building features only, Bootstrap 5, PHP 8, Two CMS support and One price plan (even 200 USD will be ok) - is it too hard for Themler developers?

You can get user trust back or loose them forever. The choice is yours. What do you think, Themler team?

No one from Team Themler has officially written that Themler will not be developed, that would amount to a loss of subscription. In my opinion, since they charge for subscriptions, they should update Themler.

We are prolonging the subscription because we hope that the Themler team will finally do something and adapt Themler to our expectations ... But still silence. Themler team did not reply to a single query of mine, which is very disrespectful of them.

For me there is no reason to renew Themler subscription or migrate to Nicepage, while Themler not updated to Bootstrap 5 and not refreshed their code base.

And for sure there is no reason at all to start new Joomla 4 projects with Themler on Bootstrap 3, old code base and unsupported SEO practice.

I hope that Themler developers pay attention to our wishes, but more likely they delete this topic as they already do with other one.

I have extended my subscription for Themler.
This is the only way we have any chance of Themler being further developed. If everyone ends their subscription, the Themler project will end! You should consider that.
As I have already written several times, I agree to a special payment for the implementation of our wishes.
I would like to continue working with Themler and I don't see why good software shouldn't be further developed. It doesn't make sense!

Best regards
Thorsten

Everyone decide for itself. For me is not acceptable to make new Joomla 4 project with old Bootstrap 3 in 2022. I have no idea how to present this to clients and substantiate why so old tech used with new CMS that based on Bootstrap 5 itself.

As Themler team clearly says: no plans for major updates and migration to Bootstrap 5.

Reason for this decision: too hard to do it, as Themler team is too small and all of them in Nicepage.

I don't think that subscription renewal will make sense for Themler... this will probably support Nicepage project, as now with Themler renewal you will get Nicepage. So if you renew subscription you agree with current state of software. This is not crowdfunding.

If I wrong, then... Themler team, please clear situation once more: will Themler get Bootstrap 5 if customers will renew their subscription?

Since you work so much on Nicepage but not on Themler - why not get a license for Nicepage? I'm very angry. Multilingual is not possible. There are just a lot of error messages.

I wonder, what alternative do we have?
