Probably me doing something simple (and wrong), but in my Joomla articles, clicking on images opens them in a lightbox - which I don't want. I want to be able to link the images, but the lightbox feature seems to take precedence.
How do I turn it off?
(I started with the default them/template and have been modifying it as I go)
Thanks.

You can turn this off: Posts / Post Content / Image Lightbox - on/off.

Hello,

I disable lightbox option but I still have the same problem.

After a first normally closed popup on an image, another lightbox displays.

Thanks for your help.

@RobR,
I'm not sure what exactly you mean. To disable lightbox for Images which are output on Posts please follow the solution provided above.

If you mean Image control then no lightbox option is available for it.
Could you describe your question in more details?

@Pierre,
are you using any lightbox plugin on your site? if yes please try to disable it and see if it helps. If it's no a problem then please submit a new private topic and provide access to your Joomla admin back end so we could test your theme. Also note what page demonstrates the issue.

Regards,
Aileen

This still does not work. I'm using Joomla 3.4.1 and every image opens lightbox. When I switch to Protostar built-in template the links work fine. When I switch to the one I created in Themler - the lightbox is back. The Lightbox setting is turned off, and I have saved and reexported the theme and reinstalled several time now. I have also cleared my cache - does not work.

I have the same issue even with email icon which is linked to an email. The link doesn't open a new email, it always opens the icon in a lightbox.

This happens with other article images as well.

Is this a template setting, how can I remove that?

thanks a lot for your help. Let me know if you need back end access to the wordpress site.

Ok I have submitted a private question - I need to get this resolved ASAP. We have clients waiting on sites because none of their images that are link work.

I submitted a Private reply to this thread but can't finds it anywhere :(
Anyway I managed to resolve the problem and the images with a Joomla article now no longer open up in lightbox and work as should be with a link applied.

I managed to solve this. Hope this helps.

If you have tried the above and found it does not work, try the following:
1. Navigate to a 'Page' (not a post), within Themler,
2. Click on one of the images you are having problems with
3. Finally, choose 'Post Content' from the icons on the left control panel and turn off 'image Lightbox'

I trust you are having the same problem as me, as the previous suggestions did not work for me either, but this does.

I think this is either a bug, a process that is a little confusing in itself. Perhaps there should be a separate Lightbox control under Pages and Posts (assuming the process provided above by Support works for Posts - have not tried this yet as I am not using Posts). It is a bit of a shame that the control is all or nothing. Would be great if we could choose per page, or if a Shortcode could be used to activate this. Perhaps something for the next update maybe?

@contact171 ,
please submit a new support topic at http://answers.billiondigital.com/Topic/Create?private=1 and provide access to your CMS admin back end. Or attach your theme (if you're working with Themler Desktop).
Also note the page name that demonstrates the issue.

regards,
Aileen

This worked perfectly! I never enabled this in the first place but somehow it was activated. I pointed blame towards a few extensions at first but after switching the template I saw that it was something caused here.

To clear things up, make sure you select 'Page' from the dropdown as Morpheus0101 mentioned. By default 'Post' under Blog Templates is selected instead of 'Page' under Main Templates.

enter image description here

From there you can select Posts then Post Content to get to the lightbox option. Mine was set to ON and this was why I was getting the automatic lightbox for EVERY image.

If you need the lightbox feature, there are tons of free plugins on JED (or you can use JS) that can do this outside of the template.
