Import 2 blogtemplates in a wordpress site

But i don't get how i linked the template to the category in wordpress

When i change something in the defaulttemplate, the extra template named category-promoties.php also changed

Have you added the second template via duplication? Is the issue present if you add it using Add Template option and then assign to a category?
