The price for Themler subscription includes one year free updates:
http://themler.io/Purchase
After this you may extend your subscription or not. Themler can be used after the subscription has expired. Also the themes installed on the websites will work (with CMS and PHP versions they were initially installe). This only includes Themler versions which were released before the subscription expired. Any Themler updates after the subscription expiration date required subscription extension.
