Hi there,
I have upgraded/migrated a Joomla 3 site to Joomla 4, and wanted to start recreating a temaplate for the website.

I have installed a Joomla 4 website that is wfunctioning well on another website, but on this website I simply cannot edit the PAGE or POST templates.

When I try to choose PAGE or POST temaplates in Themler, it simply skips back to the Home template.

I do have menulinks that should correspond to page and post tempalates as I had these working in Joomla 3 before the migration. I have also tried adding new menulinks, but still no change.

Any ideas?

Hello,

Do you use a separate Themler for Joomla 4 theme? Please make sure to have it updated to the latest Beta v.556. You may need to enable Beta update notifications in your profile for this.

Sincerely,
Nettie

Hello,

I have the same kind of problem, but it's with blog links and its duplicate blog2, everything was working fine at first. New Joomla 4 installation on a new Themler template. This morning I activated beta updates, so my version went from 550 to 556, that didn't fix the problem.

I also have a contact link, and the form does not display, I tested with the default template, and it works.

When can we expect to have a functional Joomla template? Which will no longer be a beta version.

Thanks

Thanks a lot Nettie,
It would be great to get this sorted as it is currently a major showstopper in the migration to J4

I have also posted a separate post about only seeing a "template404" only as this might be unrelated to this problem.

Regards
Goran

Hello,
I am migrating a site from J3 to J4.
For this I followed the directions, installed the extension from the download page and upgraded, now I have Themler version v.559.
I also exported the section, menus and other elements of the old site.
But if I try to modify the Article I can no longer.
The Article element does not appear.
Only the post with the content of the article in Joomla, I can't add elements from Themler like images or slider or any other element into the Article or Post.
What do you suggest me to do to continue working with the site?

PD: Attached a descriptive image of joomla 3 and another of joomla 4.
Thanks and greetings

Hello,

Is Content and Sidebars enabled for the new template? Is CMS Content enabled? Also - did you assign the menu items as usual in CMS backend? It can not happen automatically.

Finally, after trying with several templates I succeeded. You were right Nettie, the Content $ Sidebar was not active.
Thanks

It seems that you're encountering an issue with editing the PAGE or POST templates in Themler after upgrading/migrating your Joomla 3 site to Joomla 4. Here are a few suggestions to troubleshoot the problem:

Clear Themler cache: Start by clearing the cache in Themler. This can be done by going to the Themler menu and selecting "File" -> "Clear Cache". Clearing the cache can help resolve any caching issues that might be causing the problem.

Reinstall Themler: Try reinstalling Themler on your Joomla 4 website. Uninstall the current version of Themler and then reinstall it using the latest version available. This can help ensure that the Themler installation is properly configured for Joomla 4.

Check Themler compatibility: Confirm that the Themler version you are using is fully compatible with Joomla 4. Check the Themler website or support forums for any updates or information related to Joomla 4 compatibility. It's important to use a version of Themler that is specifically designed and tested for Joomla 4.

Verify menu item settings: Double-check the settings for the menu items that correspond to your PAGE and POST templates. Ensure that the correct template is selected for each menu item, and that they are properly assigned to the corresponding menu links. You can review and adjust these settings in the Joomla www.odessasprayfoampros.com administration panel under "Menus" -> "Main Menu" (or the relevant menu) -> select the menu item -> check the "Template Style" setting.

Contact Themler support: If the issue persists, it's recommended to reach out to the Themler support team for further assistance. They can provide more specific guidance and help troubleshoot the issue based on their knowledge of the Themler software.

Remember to provide them with detailed information about your Joomla version, Themler version, and any error messages or unexpected behaviors you are encountering. This will assist them in diagnosing and resolving the issue more effectively.

Have you got this one sorted out? If not, you may try this:
Clear your browser cache: Sometimes, caching issues can interfere with the functionality of a website. Clear your browser cache and try accessing the templates again.

Update Themler: Ensure that you are using the latest version of Themler. Check for any available updates and install them if necessary. Sometimes, compatibility issues can arise with older versions of themes or extensions.

Check template settings: Verify the settings in Themler to ensure that the PAGE and POST templates are correctly assigned. Make sure they are associated with the respective menu links and that there are no conflicts or misconfigurations.

Disable conflicting extensions: Temporarily disable any other extensions or plugins that may be conflicting with Themler. Some extensions can interfere with the template editing functionality, so it's worth disabling them to see if the issue persists.

Contact Themler support: If the problem persists, it may be beneficial to reach out to the Themler support team. They can provide specific guidance and assistance based on their expertise with the Themler product.

Yes, most of your suggestions are the obvious things to do, and I have spent a lot of time on this issue.

I have migrated 20+ websites for J3 to J4, and all of these are experiencing the same problem when installing the J4 themler template after the migration. I have tried everything under the sun, and posting here seemed to be the sensible thing.

The funny part is that the Themler J4 template seem to work fine on a clean J4 install, and as a workaround I have therefore setup a test site on a clean J4 installation. I can therefore export the template from the migrated site, update it on the clean site, and then export and reinstall this on the migrated site.

Very tedious and time consuming thing to do, but as far as I know the only way around the problem until Themler has got their act together.

AND, I know this might be a Joomla problem, BUT as this will affect a lot of Joomla/Themler users, I would expect that Themler at least figure out how their customers can get this problem sorted. Maybe this is a database corruption of some sorts, or whatever....................

I installed clear Joomla 4 i newest Themler for Joomla 4 and doesn't work.

In my experience there is quite a few bugs in Themler for Joomla 4, so you simply need to address each error as they pop up.

Examples of errors you will come across are related to Joomla menu items where you cannot have menuitems "seperators", and also errors related to e.g. pagination on sites. Plus quite a few more.

You just have to start of by setting error reporting to max, and then identify errors, searching this forum for solutions until you have a working site.

Good luck.

It goes without saying that the quality of your essay is adequate; nonetheless, I considered that include professional photographs and videos would be a huge enhancement. You will find articles and images relevant to these difficulties on coreball number; thus, I would appreciate it if you would visit and leave input.

I think before doing any updates we need to wordle nyt take a backup so that if something goes wrong it won't affect our website. If you have done that you can restore the old version and proceed with the update again.
