Good day,

I have a website on Joomla 3 and I have a template created in Artisteer. I would like to ask if it is possible to use Themler to convert it to a template compatible with Joomla 4? I have available the template itself and the project in .artx format.

I have already read similar questions here on the forum, but somewhere I read that this is only possible with WordPress templates, somewhere else that it is also possible for Joomla, but error messages are displayed...
Therefore, I would like to ask whether Themler currently allows this.

Thank you and have a nice day!

Regards

Hello,

With Artisteer you can export the theme as Themler Joomla 3 theme. Old themes are all for Joomla 3 and cannot be imported or converted for Joomla 4 automatically. The themes are completely different as if they were for different CMS's. That is why for Joomla 4 a separate theme should be downloaded and not just Joomla 3 theme with Themler update.

Here are possible ways to make creating themes easier (if they are made to re-create old themes):
- organize controls in Sections and use Export as Zip option in the Section tab, then import them in a new theme using Import as Zip
- there are Export / Import options available in the Posts tab to transfer Posts layout and styling

There is a separate Themler theme for Joomla 4 at https://themler.io/Download. Currently it is in Beta. Please update it to the latest Themler version as it includes some fixes or use the updated themes attached.

Sincerely,
Nettie

Good day!

While Themler is primarily designed for creating and customizing WordPress themes, it does support Joomla as well. However, it's important to note that Themler's compatibility with Joomla 4 may vary, depending on the specific version of Themler you are using.

To convert your existing Joomla 3 template created in Artisteer to be compatible with Joomla 4 using Themler, you can follow these steps:

Open Themler: Launch Themler and create a new project.

Import your Artisteer template: In Themler, go to "File" -> "Import" and select the .artx file of your Artisteer template. This should import the template into Themler.

Customize the template: Once the template is imported, you can use Themler's visual editor to modify and customize various elements of the template according to your requirements. This includes adjusting layout, colors, typography, and other design aspects.

Ensure Joomla 4 compatibility: While editing the template, make sure to utilize Joomla 4 compatible features and functionalities. Avoid using any deprecated or Joomla 3-specific features that may not work properly in Joomla 4.

Export the template: Once you have made the necessary modifications and ensured compatibility with Joomla 4, you can export the template from Themler. Go to "File" -> "Export Template" and choose the appropriate export options.

Install and test in Joomla 4: Finally, install the exported template in your Joomla 4 website and test it thoroughly to ensure that it functions as expected.

It's important to note that due to the differences between Joomla 3 and Joomla 4, some 360 photo booth Phoenix AZ adjustments may be necessary during the conversion process. Additionally, the compatibility of your Artisteer template with Themler may depend on the specific features and structure of the template.

If you encounter any errors or issues during the conversion process, I recommend reaching out to Themler's support team for further assistance. They can provide more specific guidance and help troubleshoot any problems you may encounter.
