Table Design Style Not Changing

I've changed the colour of the lines around each cell in my default table. This change has appeared on my tables in my Joomla website.
I have also changed the Header top line to be upper case and bold, these changes are not feeding through into the website. I have checked the Post Content / More Styles / Table, this is showing the design style I want. Is there a way to force the design change?
