Hello,

Unable to edit my template.

On chrome, safari and firefox I have the message "Sorry, an error has occurred. Please clear your browser cache."

Could you please specify what changed before the issue occured? Probably, CMS or PHP update, activation of some third-party plugin, other changes?

First of all, thank you very much for your answer.

I migrated a site from Joomla 3 to Joomla 4 about a month ago.
I recreated a template with the version of Themler for Joomla 4 by exporting and importing one by one the sections of my old template to the new one.
I got stuck in this process, because there was a bug on displaying the blog view: error -> 2 arguments are required, 1 given. So I gave up.

A month passed and I finally found a few days ago where the bug came from error -> 2 arguments are required, 1 given. Themler for Joomla 4 seems to have a problem with the "Read more" button configuration

So I was able to finalize my template for Joomla 4, but unfortunately, the content of the site that I had migrated was obsolete because its content had changed. This site runs on Joomla 4.2.7.

So I redid a migration of my site which runs with the latest version of Joomla 4.2.9.

I exported the prepared template to my Joomla 4.2.7 site and imported it to the Joomla 4.2.9 site.
It works correctly, but it is no longer editable. I get the message "Sorry, an error has occurred. Please clear your browser cache."

I would like so much to be able to finalize this work to free myself from this mental burden.

Could you solve this?

Update: I just checked if I could still edit my template on Joomla 4.2.7 version. I don't get the message "Sorry, an error has occurred. Please clear your browser cache." but on the other hand the toolbars are no longer displayed.

Hello Pierre,

In your latest export, was the checkbox "Include Themler for customizing the theme" enabled? Also - can you open the theme on the new website or the "Edit Template" button is inactive?

No, the box "Include Themler for customizing the theme" was not checked.
The button is active, but Themler does not load and displays "Sorry, an error has occurred. Please clear your browser cache."

Hello Pierre,

As 'Include Themler for customizing the theme" checkbox was not checked on export, this means that the theme has been exported without Themler editor, just as any other non-Themler theme.

If the initial website is still available, could you please try to re-export a theme with Themler editor included? Also you may try to cope the theme by FTP and zip-compress it. Is there any difference if you install both themes and try to open them for editing?

Sorry, I mistranslated your question. The "Include Themler for customizing the theme" box was checked.
Like every time I export a template from elsewhere.

I mistakenly thought you were talking about the "Include content" box which is not checked because I have no content to include.

I tried to install via FTP but that did not solve the problem. I always have the phrase "Sorry, an error has occurred. Please clear your browser cache."

They only answer here if the matter has already been settled. Bug fixes and updates are promised every few months, but nothing happens.

We should all get together and file an international class action lawsuit.
