Hi everyone,
I’m facing a serious issue with my e-commerce website and need some expert advice.
https://excellentleatherjackets.com/
My site has been migrated multiple times – it was first on WordPress, then moved to Shopify, and now it’s back on WordPress again. After this last migration, I noticed a few problems:
- Google is still crawling old Shopify and old WordPress links which are completely dead now.
- Even though I have disallowed those URLs in robots.txt, Google is still trying to crawl them.
- My website traffic has dropped to almost 0 after this migration.
I want to know:
- How can I completely stop Google from crawling those old dead URLs?
- Do I need to set up proper redirects for those old links, or just rely on robots.txt?
- Could this be the main reason my traffic has completely dropped?
Any guidance or step-by-step solution would be really helpful.
Thanks in advance!
