Secondary Widget area

I made a 3 column front page. on the left i have the primary widget area. on the right i want to add a secondary widget area but there is no option for that. i added a "sidebar" to the right but that doesn't seem to be the same thing.

How can i achieve this?

Hello

Actually this is the same thing. The "Primary widget area" or "Secondary widget area" are only titles. The only difference is that Primary widget area is always presents in the theme. All widget areas are "Sidebars". In other words Sidebar control creates WordPress widget area.
You can locate sidebar control anywhere and call it "Secondary widget area", "Right/Left widget area" or whatever you like.
