thanks for the reply.
I'm used to working with Artisteer and I do not have much familiarity with themler the moment.
I would like to create a horizontal menu that contains the logo in the center
I would also superimpose the menu to a position of joomla in which I will insert later a slider

There is a preset?

Hello,
the idea is to create layout like below

Layout.png

following the steps:
1.start from empty Header. It is added at the top of the page.
2.add Row with Columns control (Row1 on the image), set it to have 3 columns;
3.insert Joomla Module Position controls into right and left columns. Later you will open the Joomla admin back end and add modules to created positions (this article describes how to do it http://answers.themler.com/articles/4762/joomla-module-position).
4.insert Row with columns control inside header and located it under the row created at step 2. This is the Row 2 on screenshot;
5.set it to have 3 columns
6.add Image control into the middle column
7.Themler themes does not allow to split menu into two parts. But you may create two menus in Joomla admin back end and use them both as horizontal menus.
8.in Themler add two Horizontal Menu controls into right and left columns. This article explains how to create menu and locate it into proper position in Joomla Themler theme
http://answers.themler.com/articles/5516/how-to-create-horizontal-menus-in-joomla
9.add Slider control to the page and locate it right below the Header area.

If you get any question concerning the steps please let us know.

regards,
Aileen

So if you wanted this to be over the top of a Joomla Position. Thought is the logo would be placed in the center of the page, and right below that you would have a banner, banner is 400px high, and want the logo to creep into the banner by about 50px, how would you do that? I have tried setting the zindex throughout the template but it just seems to push the second set of columns down. That's not what I'm looking for at all.

Hello,

Yes, you may add two Logo controls and position them differently. For example, in Logo tab >> Positioning set "Float right" for the first logo and "Float left" for the second one.
