Hello ! I try Themler and I find it's very good ! Usually, I work with Artisteer. And I find Themler is beter.
But ... if to create a new template is very simple, it's not the same when I try to install it on a Joomla 3.4 website ...

On my computer, I created a homepage for static article, not a blog. But when I install the template on the website, and I select the article I wish to be in the homepage, it doesn't display. Only the content I added in Themler.

Do I must create a new Page and use it for the homepage ?
Is it possible to copy all style for the first homepage I did ?

I'm sorry, my english is bad, it's not easy to explain.

Thanks if you understand me and can help me !

Hi,

Seems that you have added the content from the Themler, right? Themler does not have content editor for now, it's in our wish list. So to display the content you add from the CMS you need to open the template in Themler, navigate to the Sidebars tab and enable the CMS Content option. That will add the area where the CMS dynamic content will be displayed. Then you can simply add some content in CMS and it will be displayed in that area of the template.

Sincerely,
Hella

Thanks a lot for your quick reply !
Yes, to create the template, I added content on the homepage and page. After install, I see that the file home.php and page.php contents this.

CMS Content option is enabled.
But the homepage displays always the content from Themler (the home.php).

I've no more hairs on my head ! I don't count more how many I made new template to understand ...

I think if I did that with Artisteer, it'll be less beautifull ... but the template would be finished ;-))

lool !

regards !

Camile

Hi,

We could have a look in your template to see what's wrong with the content. Could you please provide an access to the back end. Just let us know if it is possible and I'll move the case to private so you could post the details right here.

Sincerely,
Hella

As my connexion is very slow, the website isn't still online.
During the upload, I wish to tell you that the links near a blog categorie doesn't display it.
But a direct link near one of these page is ok.
In Themler, the template of Blog contents just a post empty. CMS content is activated. It's the same problem as for the homepage : it displays the content added in Themler (desktop) but not the CMS content.
I added content into Themler in the Homepage, Joomla displays this one and not featured article.
I haven't added content into Blog, just an empty post, and Joomla displays an empty page ...
In the folder Template, there are 2 files : home.php and blog.php. It seems that there are these wich are displayed and not index.php. Do you see what I try to tell you ?

And an other question : is it possible to create a Blog template different than the Home page ?
I wish that my homepage displays one article, not a blog?
If you want, I can send you the zip ...

thanks for your help !!

[edit] I made a mistake : in Themler, Blog and Home are the same. I cannot make different template, it's why I ask the question about it. It's Page wich has just Post empty. And the content of the CMS is correctly displayed.[/edit]

I had a similar issue when I first used Themler with Joomla. In most cases, you do need to create a new page and assign it as the homepage, then make sure the menu item is set correctly and linked to the article you want. You can usually reuse or copy the styles from your original homepage design inside Themler so you don’t lose your layout. It reminded me of setting up a routine outside of tech too—once I paired the right setup with proper care from evahairglam, everything finally worked smoothly and looked polished.
