Hello together,

I created a template for megento. I downloaded the zip and try to install the theme in magento how you discribe it in the manual. But by uploading I receive all time the same error:

CONNECT ERROR: Package file is invalid
Invalid package name, allowed: [a-zA-Z0-9_-] chars
Invalid version, should be like: x.x.x
Invalid stability
Invalid date, should be YYYY-DD-MM
Invalid channel URL
Empty authors section
Empty package contents section

What is going wrong here?

Thanks in advance
Andy

Hello Andy,

Please let us know what version of Magento you use so that we could try reproducing the issue exactly. Also please specify whether the same error appears if you install a default Themler theme (downloadable from http://billionthemler.com/Download/Magento). Thank you for this.

Sincerely,
BillionDigital Team

Hello Andy,

Sorry for this confusion. Currently Themler themes can be installed in Magento via FTP as unpacked theme only (see section "Installation via FTP (Unpacked Template)"). We will update the information on the http://billionthemler.com/Download/Magento page as soon as possible so that it describes the correct way only.

Sincerely,
BillionDigital Team

I had the same issue.
I uploaded the files via FTP
Configured the Configuration Page .... putting default to "mytemplate"
When I click on Edit under Billionthemler
It opens the default magento 1.9 theme and not my theme
And when I try to edit the default theme ... I can't select any elements and change them !

Any Solution ?

Hello,

Please specify whether you have merged /app and /skin folders with the corresponding folders in Magento and also let us know what browser you use. Thanks for this.

I'll keep you posted on the progress at this point.

Hello,

Please try to go to System tab >> Configuration >> General >> Design and in the Package section please rename the current package name to default. This should help.

Just another small bug .... for security reason "admin" in www.mydomain.com/admin to access the admin section has been changed during installation to www.domain/com/somethingelse

When I click on magento in billionthemler ..... it is redirecting me to "admin" and not "somethingelse"

regards

Hi, the same for me here,
When I click EDIT on theme - it's opens RWD them....
I have Multiwebsite.
Default Design and Theme config is set as per instructions as Default and "MyThemeName"
Two websites using different themes. One is RWD another "MythemName"
FrontEnd is loading the two themes accordingly.

but when I want to edit With Themler - it's loading RWD theme, and not "MyThemeName"

any advise?

Regards,
Kos
