Hi.. we build a lot of sites with Themler.. however there are certain sections of the sites where we need to 'custom code' some modules/areas. And every time we tweak the template design... it also overrides all our custom code changes for some graphics and modules etc. How can we stop this and having to redo each time????

Hi,

Unfortunately there is no way to save the manual changes you do after the export of the theme.
What exact edits do you do? Maybe they can be done inside the application before exporting?

Sincerely,
Hella

Hi.. no we create the template from our Joomla installation (which is fine).. but then we need to custom code some extra functions. And if we got back to the template to make 'template only' changes. It always overides our custom functions. IE see link below. http://linksafe.com.au/our-story (the right hand column we had to custom code - cant be done in template) and it always overides it. What can be done??

Hi,

Why you need to custom code the right sidebar? You can add the sidebar in Themler and then insert modules from the Joomla admin panel.
In any case you are right, if yo do some changes in the template, when updating the theme, all the theme files are overridden and you need to do the changes once again.

Sincerely,
Hella
