Revolution Slider not working with Themler Template!?

hi,
when using a Themler template, Revolution Slider reports an error: "You have some jquery.js library include that comes after the revolution files js include. This includes make eliminates the revolution slider libraries, and make it not work." [not MY english....]

Unfortunately it does not help to put "JS Includes To Body" option (in Revolution Slider) to true.
Is there an outdated jquery.js somewhere?

Any solutions to this problem?

Thanks.

P.S. If Themler came with more slider options I would't have to look around for other slider tools.....

Hello guys,
The Revolution Slider plugin (I suppose you're using this one http://www.unitecms.net/joomla-extensions/unite-revolution-slider-responsive) is not free so we cannot test it locally. The same about the Layer Slider.
It'd be helpful if you provide links to live pages which demonstrate the issues with both sliders and error (if it occurs on live page).

Regards,
Aileen

Hi Alberto,
thank you for the link.
The Themler theme includes the jQuery v1.8.2. The jQuery library is needed to make the theme working and there's no way to exclude it from the theme except manual changes in the theme files. In general it is normal that several jQueries are loaded, but sometimes - like in your case - a conflict occurs.
Have you tried possible solution recommended for Slider settings? I mean this one

  1. In the Slider Settings -> Troubleshooting set option: Put JS Includes To Body option to true.

Does it work for you?

Regards,
Aileen

Hi,

So if I understand you correctly, the problem is solved now. Please let us know if you need our further assistance.

BTW, if you miss any slider options in the default Themler slider, please let us know so we could improve it. Our slider is based on the Bootstrap Carousel that is also quite limited, but we are able to adjust it in order to make the slider more attractive for the users.

Sincerely,
Hella

Hi Hella, I think if you add maybe the shadow of corners in themeler's slider it would be great, (as an option to turn on or off ofcrouse), you can see what I mean here:

http://getbootstrap.com/examples/carousel/

you will see that each slider side has an animation of somekind of shadow.... that looks good and can be added to themeler's slider. Also a good idea whould be maybe to add a timer... in the revolution slider page example here, you can see a small timer in the upper right area of the window... also there are more long timers, like in revolution sliders homepage:

http://themepunch.com/revolution/

you will see it on the upper part of the slider, a grey line going from begining of the slide to the end..

These two additions would definitely help themeler's slider be more fun to the eyes :)

Thanks :)

Hi Shaul,
the effects of slider were partly discussed in the topic
http://answers.billiondigital.com/questions/1179/
So the transitions and transform effects in slides are in our plans.
I'll add your suggestions regarding the time indicator to previous ones.

Regards,
Aileen

Actually in the example above the shadow you're referring to is simply a shadow of the slider navigation controls. It has different opacity on hover. That's all. You can make the same effect in Themler.

  1. Add padding to the Slider Carousel Shape. I've tried padding: 170px 50px;
  2. Add gradient to the Slider Carousel Shape with Angle 90deg.
  3. Then Slider Carousel >> Shape options >> Custom >> Opacity: 0.5
  4. Now you simply need to add different opacity on Hover state: Slider Carousel >> Hover >> Shape options >> Custom >> Opacity: 0.9
    Result:

If you wish you can add transition effect on hover.

Thank you,
Olivia

UPD:

Unit Revolution was to solve In the Slider Settings -> Troubleshooting SET OPTION: Put JS To Body Includes option to true.

Please note that moving plug-in jquery into the BODY section may cause issues in Themler on some steps because plug-in jquery conflicts with Themler theme script.
We're working on updating theme jquery. So this issue should be fixed in the near future.

We also working on improvement Themler Slider. The most important feature is to make Slider controls move on slide change.
So, our balloon should fly soon :-)

Thank you,
Olivia

Hello,
the latest update for Themler includes a fix for Revolution Slider. Open your theme in Themler to update it and test Revolution slider. Let us know the results.
Please note, that the fix does not include the requested corners effect described by Olivia

Hi,
I'm testing the the standard Themler-Template in the cloud of my account and tried to implement the revolution slider, but only the first slide is shown - all others are shown as a grey background.
I've tried the option "Include item JS in body", but this doesn't work either. I've updated the template to the latest version.

This ist the test-url:
http://joomla.23.i18957.cms1-live.billiondigital.com/index.php?option=com_content&view=category&layout=blog&id=9&Itemid=101&template=test&is_preview=on&uid=236&file_template_name=home_1

Any advices?
