Hello

It could be nice if we could insert html, or themler sections on the slides of the slider. Apart from insert only images, we could insert for instance a themler section to make a html div slider. We could design a customers review section to make a testimonial slideshow, html text with one image, etc.

Thank you

As a temporary solution you can insert the Container control in the slide and then insert Section inside the Container.

Sincerely,
Hella

Can somebody please explain how to do this. I want to have customer testimonials in a slider. I want to use one of Themler's customer testimonials section, but I want it to reside in a slider at the bottom of the page so that visitors can browse through the testimonials horizontally.

Where do I start? What do I need to do? Do I start with adding a new section and then adding a slider into it? If I do that and then I try to insert a customer testimonials sections from Themler's database, the testimonials end up residing in a section of their own, outside the slider. So, how do I get them into the slider?

Hi,

You only want the testimonials slide one after another? In this case please add slider and insert the container in each slide. Place the testimonial text in each container. There is no need to use section.

Sincerely,
Hella

Hi Hella,

Thanks.

I am building an HTML website, without CMS. On my page I already have some sections I pulled in from Themler. Now I need to add this testimonials slider at the bottom of the page. The problem is If don't know how to do what you suggested, because I can't see a way to just add a slider independently, outside of all the other sections I have on my page. I understand that if I want to add a slider to the page it has to be a part of some container or section. Am I correct? If not, then how do I add a standalone slider outside of all the other sections I have on my page?

Moses.

Hella,

Just so you have an idea of my website, I had attached my website zip file herein. The testimonials slider is supposed to be at the bottom of the homepage, using the Themler testimonials section featured there at the moment.

I am sorry but I don't consider this as answer!

I didn't ask about copying and pasting text. That anyone can do. What I need to do is to use one of Themler's testimonial sections in a slider element and the steps I need to take in order to achieve that, for example: Menu --> Insert --> Element X --> Insert element Y, etc. I want to use a Themler section with its ready made formatting. If I need to do it all from the ground up by myself then what is the point in using a web-builder, I might as well open a text editor and do some HTML coding. Can anybody else in the Themler support team or community of users help me with the instructions on how to put a Themler section in a slider?

Moses Shohet.

Hi,

Section can be inserted to layout. But slider is absolute container. The solution for insert sections to slider will be implemented in one of the future updates. But you can use a workarround.

  1. Insert Slider to page and add Layout Container.
    layout-container.jpg
  2. Make Layout Container size 100% and remove value for posituions.

  3. Drag and Drop section from template to Layout Container in slider.
    drag-n-drop.jpg

Thank you,
Themler Team
