Saving template changes in Joomla back to the Theme in Themler

Hello

When a theme has been prepared, we export it and upload it to Joomla. In Joomla, however, we often still adjust some things here and there. It would be an enormous help if we could synchronise these changes back to the original theme we have in Themler.

Is there any option like this or anything planned in development? I'm convinced there's a lot of other people with exactly the same needs...

Looking forward to receiving your feedback.

Have a nice day
Nicole

Hi,

You mean that you edit the theme files manually after export? There is no possibility to import the manual changes done to the template. I'm not sure that it will be possible to implement.

Sincerely,
Hella

Hi,

You mean when you install the exported template to your Joomla installation, then run the Themler editor from the Joomla back end and perform some changes. That is the template you want to export? If that is what you are doing, then yes, you can export it and install on another Joomla site.

Sincerely,
Hella

You open the theme for editing on the site, save the changes and can use the Download as ZIP option. Then install that .zip file on other site.

Sincerely,
Hella

Hope it's OK to jump in on this thread.

I want to do almost the same thing as Nicole, except I need to export the template for my Joomla site, then open in desktop editor.

When I try to import into desktop editor, it says "File upload failed - Only Joomla templates are allowed"

Also, I need to "Save As" so I can make multiple copies of the same template and then change a few minor things like colors.

Mike

Hi Mike,

When downloading Joomla template from Themler PC version please make sure that you enable Include Themler module option.

Let us know if it helps.

Thanks,
