Hi

Is it possible to create a template with different image backgrounds for different pages in Joomla?

...and please can you confirm the id for where the background goes as I'm looking at some 3rd party extensions for changing the background on each page or adding video backgrounds. Is there any reason why this would not work in a Themler template?

Advice greatfully received!

Thank you

Hi,

You can create different templates within one theme with the different backgrounds.
Regarding the class name used for adding the background image, it should be .bd-pagebackground.
I can not confirm that all the background changing plug-ins will work with the Themler theme but you can try.

Sincerely,
Hella

Thank you.

For anyone else with the same question, I found and tried a free module extension called HD-Background Selector which worked beautifully the ID I needed was body.

:)

I don't understand.

I want an image background on my homepage and a plain white background on my other pages.

What are the exact steps to make that happen?

Hi Peter,

The easiest way would be to change Page background for Home template first and change or leave it default for other templates. For this please:
1. Switch to the Home template in the left panel.
2. Go to the Design tab >> Background >> Image and select the image to use as background for the Home page.

Sincerely,
Nettie,
