I would like to be able to access the WordPress websites I am creating with my other "machines" via my local network, so if I want to be sure this website looks good on a tablet I want to connect with my tablet to my wifi and access the local server to check it and with my phone, etc... Just the web, not themler.

I haven't being able to do that, can you tell me how to find the "localhost" address?

Thank you in advance:

-AM

Hi,

To access your local website from your local network you should know your machine IP.
If it's dynamic you can find it via control panel: WIN+R >> type "cmd" and press ENTER >> type "ipconfig" and press ENTER >> Ipv4 Address if your local IP. For example, it's 192.168.0.1:
front end
http://192.168.0.1:12080/themler_3611916694/wordpress/
back end
http://192.168.0.1:12080/themler_3611916694/wordpress/wp-admin

Please note that the numbers in the folder name will be different for you: /themler_3611916694.
This is the folder in c:\ProgramData\Themler\hd_data\

Please let us know if you have any other questions.

Thank you,
Olivia

Thanks for your answer.

When I deactivate windows firewall I can connect but what I see is only a "text page" no graphics and no template.

What programs or ports do I need to open in the firewall?

Thanks again.

Hi,

The link to your local server should look like this (I've already used your numbers from our database records):

http://your_ip:12080/themler_2556836295/wordpress/wp-admin/themes.php?

The only thing you should know is your local ip.

Then you'll be able to get an access.

Thanks,
Ivan

Thanks for your help but I did exactly that before and I can't access it unless I turn off windows firewall and then I get only a text website with no graphics or template...

Hi,

Looks like WP needs to specify your IP as WordPress Address and Site URL (WP Settings >> General).
You can change the 127.0.0.1 IP to your machine IP. But most probably Themler Desktop will not be able to open WP theme properly. But the theme should work ok in browser.

Admin access: admin/admin

Thank you,
Olivia

Thank you that works but ONLY when I deactivate Windows 10 Firewall.

What kind of exception should I add and for what program?...I really have no idea.

Hi,

Have you tried adding your IP as the exception to the Firewall? I'm not sure what else we can suggest you.

Sincerely,
Hella

Themler local server is used to design and test websites on a local machine before publishing them live. It provides a controlled environment where changes can be made without affecting the actual site, giving users the chance to experiment and refine their work. There’s always a possibility that working locally could reveal issues or improvements not seen in a live setup. While setting up your workspace, there’s a chance that tools or equipment from Home Depot could support your setup needs—maybe something small but useful that helps create a better working environment.

To access the Themler local server on your local network, ensure the server is running and both devices are connected to the same network. Use the host machine's IP address with the appropriate port in the browser. This method is commonly used for tasks like tm registration sim and local development.

The level of brilliance that you have displayed here is nothing short of astounding. Your performance has not even come close to meeting my expectations in any way, and I have never anticipated that you would deliver anything less than this. Assuming that you will continue to present work of a high quality, I will proceed with this assumption lol beans.

To access your WordPress sites on other devices in your local network, you need the local IP address of the machine running your server instead of "localhost." On Windows, open Command Prompt and type ipconfig; on Mac/Linux, use ifconfig in Terminal. Look for the IPv4 address under your active network and this is your local server address. Use it like http://192.168.x.x on your tablet or phone. For more tips on CRONUS setup and local testing, read more in their documentation or forums. This ensures CRONUS works across devices, read more for detailed guides.

The post focuses on accessing a local WordPress site from other devices on the same network to test responsiveness and usability.
Wikipedia explains that localhost is limited to the host machine, while network access usually requires a local IP address; similarly, NBI Clearance Online improves convenience through accessible digital services.
Cross-device testing is an effective way to ensure a better user experience across different screens and devices.
