Hi

I've created a 404 page for a static site with an automatic re-direct back to my home page after 4 seconds using javascript.

When I now try to edit the page in Themler, it keeps going back to the home page, so I can't edit it anymore. Is there any way to temporarily stop this happening so I can make any changes?

Thanks, David

Hi,

That seems logical that the home page opens if you have set such redirect. I'm not sure if you can somehow disable it within the application as it shows your real site.

Sincerely,
Hella

Hi Hella

I understand that but I now don't seem to have a way to change the code on the page. I have tried deleting the page outside of Themler but it re-appears each time. Is there a way I can delete it permanently?

Thanks, David

No, unfortunately you can not delete it permanently. Each time you update the page, the template is recovered.

Hella

Hello David,
as you're using custom JS redirect code on the page you may try to comment it for some time. Then you should be able to open and edit the 404 Template in Themler.

regards,
Aileen

Hi Aileen

I had a 4 second delay. I had to work fast but I managed to change the code. Good idea of yours to use comments and next time, I'll make it longer.

Many thanks, David :-)
