It is not possible to delete comments functions from a template.

How is one supposed to make layout and style for comments on one template, and just simply share it to other templates without going via this process over and over again ?

When I use Paste & Share option I cannot add it on right place. And if you cannot delete old comments control what is point of paste & share. You dont need two of them anyway.

When I use Paste style option it is replicated, but future changes on one template are not replicated on other. It means I have to style every template over and over, comments.

Hi,

If, theoretically, you remove Comments from the theme the comments form will never appear on the website front end even if it's enabled. It's not really good.
The Comments form is the part of the Posts control. If you clicked on Customize template style the style of the Posts control will be specific to the chosen template. You can set some style of the Posts control as default and this style will be used for all not customized Posts controls. But this will affect the Post Content too.
In other words, if you need the same style for comments on all post templates you should use the same style of Posts control too. The comments form control does not have separate default style.

Thank you,
Olivia

I understand your frustration with the limitations of the comment functionality in the template system. It can be quite cumbersome to manage comments when you cannot delete or edit them, especially if you want a consistent layout and style across multiple templates.

The inability to delete comments creates additional challenges when trying to maintain a clean and organized design. If we can't remove unwanted comments, the process of copying and pasting styles becomes less efficient, as you end up with redundant elements that clutter the layout.

Additionally, the Paste & Share and Paste Style options seem inadequate for seamless integration. If changes in one template don’t reflect in others, it defeats the purpose of having a shared styling system. This redundancy can lead to increased workload, as it necessitates reapplying styles manually across templates rather than allowing for centralized updates.

It would be helpful if the platform could offer a more streamlined approach to managing comments and styles. Perhaps a centralized comments management system or enhanced template sharing capabilities would alleviate some of these issues.

Thank you,
Olivia
