Add "Home" Menu to an anchor

Hi there!

I am creating a onepage theme with Joomla and have managed to link the menu items to individual anchors with smooth scrolling. However the Homepage is the default page and I can not have this as an anchor. Is there anyway to have "Home" as the default Homepage, but linked to an anchor, not to the page itself?

This is what is written in the tutorial:
Important note: Remember that the Home page link should be created in the same way. The menu should not include a page marked as "Default Page".

But somehow I Need the "Home" page as default page + linked with an anchor. Can anyone help me?

Hello Ben,
It means that Home page link Joomla admin should be set up in special way:
1.create External URL link type

2.set it up as anchor link

3.Do not mark this link as 'Default Page'
