Hi everyone!

Merry Christmas and a Happy New year!

We are happy to announce the new major Themler update that includes many new great features!

To update Themler to the new version please open your theme in Themler and click "Updates" icon on the top toolbar:

This applies to Themler Desktop and Themler installed on the loca/hosted CMSs.

New Simplified User Interface

  • Top Ribbon Panel with most popular properties on the Home tab
  • Left Sections Panel
  • Right Side Panel with Advanced Options
  • Adding Section now is easy as never

New Simplified Content and Template Editing

  • Round icons in Preview to edit Images
  • Round icon in Preview to add new content
  • Parallax scrolling effect for background images
  • Background Position popup dialog
  • Image Color Filters
  • Instant Text Editing
  • New controls: Spacer and Separator

Other

NEW WordPress and Joomla Content Editing

  • New Themler version supports not only WordPress and Joomla Templates editing.
    You can edit WordPress and Joomla Pages, Posts and Articles content with Themler Editor!

  • Improved Custom templates feature for Drupal.
    Now you can assign Custom template by a machine name of the content type.

Can you give some real life examples where to use Shortcode generator ?
And why this but not Sections ?

And following days, to not be less patient, one tutorial about Shortcode generator. I dont get all logic behind it.

I like the new changes except for one item, the real-time content editor.

Is there a way to disable this?

We've been playing with it here today and I can't tell you how many times I've clicked SAVE on the template only to have the content on the page in wordpress overwritten with [text][/text] blocks, stripping all formatting.

Some of the other things were nice additions, but this live content editing is killing me. I usually build the skins etc in Themler, then do the content directly in WordPress.

It seems that if you accidently click the page content, it automatically flags it as TEXT, and blows out all previous formatting when you click save :(

I know some users asked to make changes to their content from within the theme builder, but this is a theme builder software, not a website management software. Keeping them separate is imperative.

My understanding is that shortcode generator means that we include section definition as shortcode tags within the post/page. So instead of section HTML you will see shortcode tags that define the section.
This allows us to later render sections compatible with Bootstrap and possibly other frameworks and formats in the future, including restyling some elements. So basically sections are not stored in the page as hard HTML.
I'll confirm this and update if needed :-)

In source code all this is just simple HTML code, shortcode or Section directly in theme. Put it under Settings and who wants it can enable it.

I see one problem with it. Many shortcodes nowhere centralised place to keep track on all them.
Now you see my advice about Shortcake is not so stupid ? Wont work on other CMS of course, but...

Could you please be more specific about the "bugs".

no compatibility with previous version and that's means i have to rebuild ALL MY TEMPLATES ....

Have you tried to update your template to the latest version? It should work fine.
