Hi Guys,
i really like the new UI, and love working with themler every day more. BUT:
I still have many, many problems with "actual" componants for Joomla, which are based on bootstrap.
Why?
Easy and many times discussed here, yet:
Original Bootstrap uses 12 grid, themler uses 24.
I know. with 24grid system I have more possibilities for example for the positioning of modulepositions, contents, etc.
BUT - there are many problems and I need to solve them. Sry, not ME - YOU...

Latest example today:

enter image description here

It´s J2Store Component (ShoppingCart) using in this case a row with grid 9 + 3. (=12)
So you can see, it looks horrible, as for themler it need to be like this: 18 + 6 (=24)

How should I work with themler in the future (and pay for it) if I cant use it with "actual" Components/Plugins/Modules?

Oh, btw... this is how it ca. should be:

It is not easy to fix unless component gives you a way to override its templates. Any paid one should have it.

No Stagger Lee, not always.
But - it´s clear i think: If there Components are working fine on 99% of all templates, but ALL of MINE are created with Themler, where they do NOT work - Themler must find and provide a solution.

@themler: Why is it not possible for us to choose per template if I want to use 24grid or 12 Grid?! What about this idea?

I have seen they have template overrides.
Dont know, dont use Joomla anymore so I cannot test it. Joomla is distant past for me now.

I personally would never use this extension unless they give possibility to filter and override anything inside it.

It means your templates use all Bootstrap files and code twice. Stupid.

Stagger, the problem is, that I cant go to every 3rd Party Dev and ask for overrides, etc.?!
Most Devs (does not matter if joomla or WP or what ever) will NOT help you with customized templates, esp. not for Artisteer or Themler. If you´re working long time with them, you know this...
e.g. Payplans and Paycart are perfect tools for shopping and membership in the Joomla Scene. There Support also is just awesome. But they use regular BS - and I cant go and say; "Hey Guys sry, I pay for your tools so help me getting it work with themler BS 24 Grid"!
Thats part of Themler to provide solutions for that kind of problems...

Tell me just this. Open HTML source code of your homepage and check if all your Bootstrap files are called once or twice.

No fancy shop extension is worth files pulling twice. Specially so heavy files as from Bootstrap.

You dont understand...
THe components does not load extra BS. and thats the problem!
Look:

<div class="row">
    <div class="col-md-4">.col-md-4</div>
    <div class="col-md-4">.col-md-4</div>
    <div class="col-md-4">.col-md-4</div>
  </div>

would look nice on ANY BS Template. It´s just 3 cols with 33,33% width.
But with an themler template it looks just poor, as 4+4+4 = 12 and so in a themler template just 50% of the page!
It´s always 50% smaller in width as it should!!
And thats because themler uses not regular 12grid system, but 24 grid.
So the above code regular needs to look like:

<div class="row">
    <div class="col-md-8">.col-md-8</div>
    <div class="col-md-8">.col-md-8</div>
    <div class="col-md-8">.col-md-8</div>
  </div>

So THEN I´ve the themler 24grid (8+8+8) and just THEN it looks nice. BUT that means, i need to change all compenents in code, for looking nice with themler template - and THIS COULD NOT BE!

I know what you mean.

All major components for Joomla allow moving template files to specific theme folder. Move all of them and change numbers "4" to "8".

You dont need to touch anything else, just 4 to 8.

Like this you can change all template files. Not so big deal and much work, just 4 to 8. Use code editor search and replace and you can change all of them with few clicks. Just type whole class name, not only number. Or you can ruin template.

Dear Aileen,
as you can see on your "votings-list": It does not help anything (see the 2 most voted feature-wishes)...
I think you do NOT understand how important these problem is for many agencies...
I´m sad...

Hello Marco,
we're considering an ability to support 12-columns bootstrap grid. However I cannot provide any details when it will be added to Themler.

regards,
Aileen
