I'm making a joomla site. But on the home page I add some containers with text. So far so good. I made also a blog and page template. Everything works fine. But now 2 questions. In the blog page the articles shows in 2 columns, and unfortunately this lay out is also present in the page lay out. Can i change this to 1 column, just on the page template. Question 2 i want to make another page for the site with some text containers ( a template with no cms content, i gladly want to use a section of the themler examples) Is this possible and how can i link this page to a menu-item.

Hi,

Q1:
To customize the layout and look of the Posts control on the chosen template please click on "Customize template style" button:

posts-customize.png

Q2:

In any case you need a joomla single article or other joomla page.
Why don't you want to create Joomla article and add section inside content of this article?

As alternative you can create custom template, remove CMS Content Sidebar from this template, add section and assign this template to the joomla page (single article or so):

Thank you,
Olivia

If I want to choose your suggested Q2 solution, do I need to export and install the edited template to be able to assign it to an article? Because I duplicated a page template, renamed it and it doesn't appear in Article Template. In Themler I cannot edit post template, it says "post template disabled" even if I have publishe dsingle article etc. Thanks in advance.
