This is ALL messed up

I am trying to develop a new theme. I go to my themes, press create new and it keeps taking me back to the download page. I don't want to download, I want to create. I downloaded the wordpress base theme and it will not import, saying it does not have enough content. I downloaded the Winery Theme and it won't import because it lacks a style CSS sheet. I'm on a Mac and I've tried Safari and Chrome with the same results. I downloaded the Themler application and it is very cludgy, and the login window is a beast. It keeps logging me out when I try to download something.
What the heck is wrong with this new development ?

Hello,
lets try to clarify the reported issues:
1.do you mean that after clicking on the button 'Download Now' at themler.com you do not see the select CMS window

but you're redirected to themler.com. Right? Please correct me if I'm wrong

2.to create theme online select 'Try Online' option for one of CMSs. E.g. for WordPress

3.Import WP theme. Please describe the steps you followed in more details. The error/warning message screenshot would be also helpful.

4.Winery theme.
Do you mean one of the sections

Have you tried to import using 'Import from ZIP' Themler option? Please attach the error screenshot.

I didn't get the problem , But I suggest you to disable the download plugin/extensions If you have one in your browser.

Okay a lot has changed since I last used the program. I also downloaded the Mac beta... both online and themler app no longer show sample layout/designs or the ability to switch to suggestions? So it looks rather empty compared to what it was (I'm an Artisteer refugee). I was also confused because I didn't want to click download, but clicked the WP in the next panel, which downloaded a file... By the Way, the BSD style theme throws a lot of security errors and isn't compatible with 4.4

I was uploading the other themes via zip. Basic WP theme zip:

The default theme was changed a bit and Home template does not output any CMS content now. But the rest pages (Blog, About, etc.) do output sample CMS data.
Please check to see it.

Do you mean that you have downloaded the default WP theme using this link?
