Hi!

If you want your site to load quickly and your images look better, you need to optimize the images before you upload them to your theme.

The physical size of an image is based upon two things:
1)The size of the image on the screen (in px) and
2) the file size.
If you have a problem with screen size, you can reduce the image to size of 1920 pixels in width (or less).
If you have a problem with the file size, you can use this service -
http://compresspng.com
If you're using images from Themler's library you can either download them to your hard drive and optimize manually or wait for one of the future Themler updated that will include a feature that optimizes large images.

Thanks,
Tanya

The problem does not come from the image optimization, gtmetrix told me this:

""The following image(s) are missing width and/or height attributes.""
""Specifying a width and height for all images allows for faster rendering by eliminating the need for unnecessary reflows and repaints.""

thx

Hi,

Themler does not have the option to set width and height attributes for Themler Image controls.
These attributes are not required.
In general. you will not see much of a difference in speed except reserving space if the size of the image is known. But this attributes support only px values. You may have problems with responsiveness.
However if you're adding the images using CMS admin panel the CMS editor should provide the option to specify the width and height attributes.

Thank you,
Olivia
