I am very frustrated with the changes that i have been attempting to make on the Portitor (ID# 1879658) template. I have been working on these templates since this morning. I have made changes and they don't stay. Or, I have attempted to do the changes both online as well as in the desktop version but neither changes stay. Also, the menu is very fickle. If i make a change and it moves into the menu area by accident, it will change the entire menu format. Am I don't something wrong? On the desktop it says that I should save the product carousel under "apply to CMS" but I don't have the option. I try to save it in the admin panel of magento but it is also not an option. Please let me know how i can save m changes and make them apply no matter how/where i make them.

Hello,
I apologize for delay in response.
1. Unfortunately I cannot say for sure what happens that changes are not saved.
Could you please try to edit theme and save it several times. In case the changes are not preserved please describe the steps you followed in details.

2.Regarding menu: do you mean that menu design was changed? If possible please attach the screenshot which demonstrates the menu "before" and "after".

3.in Desktop version you may just Save the theme.

regards,
Aileen

It sounds like the issue you’re experiencing with the Portitor Magento template is most likely related to saving changes in the correct scope and ensuring they are applied to the CMS properly, as Magento often requires edits to be saved in the right store view and then deployed or refreshed through cache management before they become permanent. Make sure after editing in the desktop or admin panel, you click “Save Config,” select the correct store scope (not default if you’re using a specific store view), and then go to System > Cache Management to clear and refresh all caches, as unsaved or cached versions can cause changes to disappear or menus to revert unexpectedly. Additionally, when working with elements like the product carousel, ensure you are editing the correct CMS block or static block and assigning it to the proper layout or page, otherwise Magento won’t apply the changes globally. Menu issues can also occur if changes are made directly in layout files without saving or deploying static content. Think of it like updating a live information page about fife police road accidents—if you don’t publish and refresh the system correctly, users will continue seeing outdated information instead of the latest updates, so always save, clear cache, and verify the correct assignment to ensure your changes remain applied everywhere.
