Unable to display Woocommerce categories on shop page

I have was able to set categories to display using the Woo storefront theme out of the box but not Themler. Is this a bug?
I can see previous posts saying that the Themler category display option needs to be set as does the show categories options in Woocommerce but I have done this.
Could you please help as this is a very important piece of functionality if you are creating a web shop.

I had the same issue. I add widget "WooCommerce Product Categories" to the Primary widget area as a workaround. I think this is a bug.

Hello Cliff and Charlie,

  1. Please make sure that both settings to show categories (Show Category and Show Categories) are enabled.
  2. Also you may need to add Category Name control.
    If the issue persist, please create private cases with temporary access to your websites so htat we could investigate them individually.

This isn't very helpful. I have the same problem, put display products in woocommerce on categories but you get only products on the shop page. Nothing seems to work. It's very bad that a simple standaard function of woocommerce like this can't be used in the woocommece templates of themler
