Place WP Widget

On my home page, I am trying to place a WP Widget to the 2nd column, but it keeps putting it at the bottom. I need to have my column of text at the left, and a widget at the right. I can't get it to work.

Hi,

Please try to enable the Top Content sidebar under the Layout tab and insert the widget area there.

Also, is it possible to have a wide slider at the top the stretches the total width, then have a section (or something) below it where I have 2 objects.. text at the left, and a WP widget at the right? (where the widget would be on the right side, just below the fully-stretched slider?).

regarding adding widget inside Section and Column: please refer to this forum post http://answers.themler.com/questions/60290/wordpress-section-panel-adding-2-latest-blogs

is it possible to have a wide slider at the top the stretches the total width, then have a section (or something) below it where I have 2 objects.. text at the left, and a WP widget at the right?

It is possible if:
1).you enable Content and Sidebars under Layout;
2).enable Right Sidebar;
3).then add Section with Slider right above the Content;
4).insert Section (with something) inside Content;
5).locate WP widget in the Widget Area which is added to Right Sidebar
