Hello, I am seeing more need for this. Anyway you can add this to your roadmap of features? A custom html module in Joomla with sections from Themler would be really handy.

Thanks

Hi,

I've added your request to our wish list.
In the meantime you can try copying Section shortcode to the HTML module manually. In the Section is not working please check this article:
http://answers.themler.com/articles/65513/themler-themes-issues-joomla-virtuemart#shortcodes

Unfortunately the Section added to the module will not be editable in Themler.

Thank you,
Olivia

Hello Dave,
if there's exported section (Export as ZIP option of Section control) you may copy the HTML code from the section.html file and paste all this code to Joomla Custom HTML module type.

Aileen

Hello, I am still confused and have not tried this yet. Where do you build the section on a Joomla template? It has to be on the site somewhere for the css to be applied, correct? I can't build the section in say the desktop version and export it then copy the code can I? Where would the styles be?

So do I need to create a new template in Themler for Joomla and house all my custom sections there? Sure would be nice to have a Themler Module added to Joomla that sections can be built in.

Thank you

Themler team can you elaborate on this?

Please add a Joomla module that can create sections to really make the whole thing work optimally.

Hi,

Sorry for the delay.
The Section itself cannot be added into the Joomla HTML module. But you can take the the existing shortcode and paste it into the joomla HTML module.
You can create special article where you will add Section in Themler on your production server or on Themler Desktop. There is no really difference because Section specific css is a part of the Section. But the same Section may look differently because it uses theme styles also. For better visualization we suggest that you use the same theme if you're going to add Sections on Themler Desktop. The easiest way is to add sections to some articles on the same server. In this case you will be able to quickly edit this Section in Themler and update the shortcode in the module if needed.

Please let us know if you have any further questions.

Thank you,
Olivia

OK, this makes more sense now. I did not know about the css being in the section.

Hopefully a feature for a Themler based module in Joomla will come someday to complete the program.

Thank you

Hello, do you think the best option is to create a specific new template called "module-sections" and house all the sections there? I would rather not do it with articles to avoid users from seeing them in the admin area.

This method would cause no issues correct?

Thank you

Hello, I am testing this and now see a big issue. Images do not seem to be added to the section. Is this because I am using a template to create them and not articles? Either way I am exporting the section so how do you include images?

This is why the module idea is going to be so great. All done in the CMS.

Hi,

The Section shortcode includes all custom section css including css for background images. But it does not include images physically (image files). You need to upload them manually if you're doing the Section outside of the current theme.
And please note that shortcode contains a path to the background image, for example:

[section title="Row with Background Image" id="section4" wide=true css_md="padding-right:2em;" css_sm="padding-bottom:4em;padding-top:4em;" typography_sm="Text {line-height: 24px;font-size: 16px;}H2 {line-height: 36px;font-size: 30px;}H1 {line-height: 86.4px;font-size: 72px;}" css_xs="padding-left:1em;padding-right:1em;padding-bottom:1em;" typography_xs="H1 {line-height: 68.57142859px;font-size: 48px;}" css="background-color:#ffffff;position:relative;background-image:url(http://wordpress.4.i68802.cms1-live.billiondigital.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/09/885ae6b7c5b3254d696ecb8e446b6813_light300431_1920.jpg);background-repeat:repeat;background-attachment:scroll;background-position:center top;background-size:cover;height:100vh;padding-right:5em;padding-left:5em;" typography="Text {line-height: 28.5px;color: #ffffff;font-size: 19px;font-weight: 400;letter-spacing: 1px;text-align: right;}H2 {line-height: 41.4px;font-size: 36px;font-weight: 300;}H1 {line-height: 90px;text-transform: uppercase;font-size: 90px;color: #ffffff;font-weight: 300;letter-spacing: -2px;}"]

If you're working with the current theme to create Sections for modules the theme will export and save images instead of you.
So, the best way is to work on the same server with the same theme.

Thank you,
Olivia

It appears all images go in the images/editor/content folder so could they just be uploaded manually in there after the section zip is extracted?

Hi,

You just need to match the path to the image and the location of the image.
That's why I suggested adding sections to the article on the same server. In this case it will be enough to copy the shortcode. In case of crating section in other place you will need to manually upload images.

Thank you,
Olivia

That makes sense. I'll test some options and see how it goes. Sure is a lot of work to build, export, etc.

I really hope you add a module someday soon though because some pages are not articles and there is no way to do this easily.

I can't believe more people don't ask for this?

Thank you
